Great game for little girls
I had to search high and low to find this at a good price. Xbox did not make many of them because they did not believe it would be a big seller like some of their other games which is a shame because it really is a good one.First the prosYou can dress up Barbie in a variety of fashions (and earn more as the game goes on) and then be delighted as they play the game with Barbie in those clothesYou have to care for the horse and make sure that it is happy. You also have to keep it safe from dangers on the trail.You can explore the "world" and go back and forth all over it as much as you want. It gives you a great chance to explore and really learn the controls.The consWhile the "world" is really beautiful, the graphics are not up to Halo standards. They obviously did not spend as much time developing this as some of their other games but again, they knew what their real money makers were going to be.Yes, some of the trails are repeatative, but this is not for adults, it is for LITTLE GIRLS.This game was designed for what girls like (no matter how much feminists hate that) there are certain things that appeal to girls; changing clothes & taking care of horses.I have been thanked at least a dozen times for that game (and that was just during the first hour of play)

The game stops at a certain spot and you have to start over... makes a little girl very sad when she can only go so far.

great game for cowgirls of any age!
this is a GREAT game. i am not a fan of Barbie. but daughter loves loves loves horses. No violence. Nothing mean. its riding through some neat scenery. coins lead the way. also buy more outfits. different challenges with each trail & for the foals. havent made it thru the maze of the secret garden yet & i wish there were some coins there leading the way because that got a bit too frustrating for my daughter. we have the xbox360. i dont know if its a compatibility thing or not but even with the update the 2nd player of the minigames is not visual so thats not so much fun when friends come to play. wish there were more fun girl games like this to choose from.

Bought this game for my girlfriend who is currently on a nostalgia kick. The game wouldn't work in her 360 (but that's more of the systems fault than the game) but it worked flawlessly in her original XBox. She absolutely loves the game.

Barbie's so blonde...
...she does silly things like race her horse on a frozen river. Running on ice is fun, I guess, if you're a blonde. And she wears her show attire everywhere. (Can you really climb obstacle courses in field boots and tailored tweed show coats? Hmm...) If you're looking for a game showing safe, sane equitation, Barbie ain't gonna do it for you.That being said, if you're just looking for a horse-themed Barbie game, this game isn't bad. There's happy New Age-y Barbie music, there's Barbie's perky voice and a "friendship meter" that shows if your horse needs attention, like pats and treats. Okay, it drives *me* over the edge, but my 6-year-old daughter seems to enjoy it--she'd recommend it. ;)

Such a fun game for my 5 and 7 year old on Xbox. Good games for girls this age are few and far between.
