Barbie Yuletide Romance Hallmark Special Edition Doll (1996)

This was a Christmas gift for my daughter and she absolutely loves it! The doll was shipped quickly and actually arrived a few days early! Packaged in original box/packaging, it looked brand new, even though it's from 1996! The doll itself it perfect and her outfit is stunning. Much more emerald green in person, than in my pictures. Love the stationary cards and her little purse as well!

The only thing I didn't like about this doll was the fact that her hair wasn't the greatest up-do. Other than that, this doll is perfect.Barbie's a beautiful representation of the early 20th century in the western world. Her deep-auburn hair is short but discreetly disguised in a simple high "ponytail" that curls inwards to form a "bun". Her hair doesn't have a part. Her eyes are emerald and light green which complements her hair complexion. Her skin is only slightly fairer and rosier than the standard skin-tone for Caucasian Barbies. Her eyes have four eyelashes on the top and three on the bottom, while her eye shadow is a deep caramel. Her lips are a primary red with matching blush.Her dress is actually 2 separate pieces - a jacket and skirt (both have Velcro). The jacket with its large puff sleeves is using a dark pine suede material contrasted with gold trim. Bow-tie is sewn-on and has a beautiful emerald rhinestone in the center that goes with her outfit. Her skirt is fitted at the waist and gathered at the waist to create a beautiful full bell shaped skirt. The botttom of the skirt has the golden trim that echoes the design on her sleeves. She carries a cute bag that matches her jacket and has a golden bead on the bottom. Barbie's shoes and hairbrush are an elegant deep sea green.Hallmark Special Edition Yuletide Romance Barbie is very high quality and picky collectors are missing out. This Barbie is worth way more than the some of the lower offers. Mine was $4.56 so I bought 2 for $9.12 plus shipping $5.39. It was basically complete steal. the better box had a tiny easily removable stain and some kind-of price stickers that I removed. Its plastic window is a little dirty but no scratches. The other box has a severely curved door, but the plastic window is very clean but has some scratch marks. Both boxes have some expected wear to their delicate paperboard packaging - everywhere from scratches/rub-off on the colored paperboard, slight dents, frayed edges. Fortunately there yellowing of the plastic or bleached packaging from being in sunlight. I kept the better conditioned Barbie in her box for display and the other for play.

The doll reminds me of one of Jane Austen 's stories that could've been set around Christmas time! I love it!

I cannot stop admiring this beautiful doll. She has emerald green eyes and beautiful reddish brown hair. The box was in pristine condition and comes with beautiful shoes and a hair brush. Clothes are in perfect condition.the elastic band in the hair got broken and degenerated but can easily be replaced without spoiling her bun/ hairstyle .came 2 weeks earlier than expected.

Barbie was in perfect condition and arrived in appropriate time. The price was good for a vintage doll.

I love this barbie. Good value for money.
