Bird necklaces are a favourite of mine. I love how each time I make one, it ends up completely different from the last. I guess that's the nature of the natural shapes and handmade jewellery! I used a jewellers saw and the traditional saw piercing method to saw out the little bird shape from a sheet of sterling silver. I have given the pendant a brushed polish finish. For the final shine, and to add strength, I barrel polished the pendant. The pendant measures 1.6cm tall (approximately 5/8 of an inch) and 1.5cm (0.6 inch) at the widest point. It hangs from a 16 inch sterling silver chain. Will arrive in a gift box... enjoy!
