Feels a bit like wall paper paste, stopped any slipping from my ally seatpost to carbon frame instanlty. Very good stuff

I bought this product to hopefully stop my seat post (carbon) from slipping in my new bike frame (also carbon). The Amazon price seemed good and I could guarantee that Prime delivery would be quick. I was however slightly taken by the description of the paste being unisex that does not seem to originate from the manufacturer. On reflection however, it is quite an apt description as I can add the paste to either the male (seatpost) part or to the frame (female part). Oh, by the way, the paste does seem to work and my male and female parts seem to be successfully mated!

The paste is great. I have been using it for my carbon seatpost on my carbon Giant TCR. I put a little bit of the paste on the seatpost, and there is absolutely no slippage at the recommended torque, even after a few months of riding thousands of kilometers. The clear paste contains small particles that create friction between the carbon elements. The paste seems to evaporate after some time, leaving just the dry particles that kind of turn into dust when squizzed with a lot of force. I am pretty happy with this product.

Provided sufficient grip for a carbon seat post which I bought and fitted recently. You get a lot of product for your money, for a single use application you could probably get away with using a much smaller and cheaper product.

Carbon paste I've learned is not cheap, but this has done the job for me.The seatpost on my bike started to slide down a bit when riding, and with carbon frames its important not to overtighten the mechanism securing it. Over time it got worse to the point where I had to stop mid-ride to adjust. Then I read about carbon bikes and seat posts and needing some paste to add some friction to grip it.I applied this to the seat post, put it back in, tightened the bolt to the required level. Have done a few rides since and its stayed put, so am happy with the performance of it, and it means 1) I don't end up with the seat sliding down about 30cm when out on a ride (not good!) and 2) I can tighten to the required tension, preventing the risk of any damage.The paste isn't cheap but its done the job :-)

The thing I like about all Fenwicks products is that they get on and do the job without the fuss you get with some marketing and packaging. Being so well established you can trust the quality and they're often cheaper than newer rivals. This paste is no different, it does what it's designed to do.

Bought this for my carbon Cannondale bike. It stops the carbon seat post from slipping. But failed to stop head set plug from slipping. Strange.
