Does the job well!
We purchased this kit and it did the job! Very satisfied with the outcome, but the kit is a little pricey. We ran into one issue during this process. We drilled and tapped all 10 holes, as Timesert suggested, and when we tightened the head down according to specs the 9th hole STRIPPED AGAIN! It pulled the threads in the block as well as the insert completely out. I contacted Timesert to see if there was a solution, and there was! If you ever run into this issue, they sell what they call a BIG SERT add on kit. They supply you with a slightly larger reamer, tap and guide bushing. The new insert is double the thickness and allows you to use the same size head bolt to complete your repair. We are selling both kits if anyone is interested: 636-383-1454.For those who have not attempted this before, it is important to make sure you chip away at the block a little at a time. Literally inch by inch, and make sure to clear the shavings completely or you risk dulling the reamer. Don't just plow through it. This goes for the tapping process as well. It goes a lot smoother when you seal off the head using some plastic and some tape to avoid the metal shavings ending up everywhere on your engine.

The instructions were clear and easy to follow
This product performed exactly as advertised. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The process was easy do, and the inserts went in and locked at the correct depth. The new head bolts go in without any of the slop that the original factory threads had and went to the proper depth. I also feel that it is priced fairly for the precision set of tools that it is. Every piece appeared well made and finished and worked without any binding or chatter when used as directed. This kit will have saved me several thousand dollars over the price of having the job done at a shop and will allow me to put my fourth Toyota engine back on the road.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004P5W81A/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0TIME-SERT Toyota Camry Rav 4 Head Bolt Kit M11 x 1.5 Part # 2200

same brand kit that Stellantis uses as their special tool for repairing head bolt threads in blocks. This kit is a lifesaver when you need it.

Easy instruction sheet. Has all you need for the job. Seems a little hefty on price

Expensive, but much cheaper then taking it to a Machine Shop!
I had a bolt pull out of my 2011 Kia Sedona while torquing the second head bolt. The machine shop charged me $120 to essentially use this kit to repair the threads. I got it back and two more threads pulled. I ended up purchasing this and installed a insert for every head bolt. The quality is excellent and has everything you need to repair the pulled threads.

Great product!
Exactly what it says it is. A little overpriced but it’s got everything you need in it. I thought it was going to come with new bolts for the head but it doesn’t and I was able to reuse the ones I took out of the block.

Easy to use
I used kit to retread one stripped bolt in head of camry. I found it easy and quick. The only negative is the instructions could have been more clear. As the headbolt for the camry were long, I had to remove the drill bushing for drilling the final 1/3 the drilling out the opening for the insert and for tapping the treads. I used the guide for the first 2/3 of both steps. The kit came complete with 3 sets of bolts. The camry required use of the longest of the 3 sets.
