Useful
This is such a fun product. Works as advertised, has good battery life at lower light levels and is easy to transport when deflated.

The most lightweight and portable light ever!
There’s really no reason to not have this light in your camera bag as a photographer or a videographer. It takes up absolutely no space, is extremely bright and powerful, and so lightweight you can mount it literally anywhere. The magnetic system makes it fantastic for lighting in gyms and warehouses. You could honestly have 5 to 10 of these lights for a shoot and they would barely take up any room in your bag. Such a great cost-effective, lightweight, and portable light solution for quick run and gun shoots and content creation

Great Packable Light with Plenty of Power!
I purchased this item to help with a photoshoot in a library, where we couldn't use flash, didn't have access to a ton of space for setting up lights so being able to pack this small light into my camera bag and inflate quickly on site was amazing! I've only used this once at the time of this review, but excited to try it again in another upcoming location session so we'll see how it holds up, but so far: it was powerful enough to light up the subject perfectly even in darker areas of the library and the battery life outlived the photo session time which ran about 2 hrs, and still plenty of battery power left. The price point was great and overall I was really impressed with this light!!

Blown away by this inflatable light!
If you work in film, media, marketing, news, or YouTube…. Get some of these! I can’t recommend them more! They are bright, easy to use and can be put any where. I got them for my job in video production, but found myself also using them in my indie films. They are great as fill lights, key lights, accent lights. You name it. The footage I’ve gotten has been absolutely mind blowing. They are easy to use, just blow them on, press the on button then press and hold. Turn the brightness up to your desired need and shoot! You can also change the color temperature which is very handy, and attaching gels to them is pretty easy as well. They also don’t take up much space, deflate it, fold it and store in a bag. Another great aspect is that they are magnetic! You can hide them just about anywhere that is metallic, and the magnets are strong! They come with a magnetic mount so you can put them on a c stand or a light stand which is also helpful. I used this for an audition the other night, I prefer it to a ring light because it doesn’t have a reflection of the ring in your eyes, and it evenly lights you and can be set up inconspicuously over the camera. The light also has a built in diffusion which is really nice. The only downside I see is that it does get very hot! So be careful, and the batter only lasts about 10-30 minutes with consecutive use depending on if you turn them off between takes. I’m sure you can leave them plugged in, it comes with a usb c charging cable but I’d be careful with that. Another issue I foresee being a big problem is if the inflatable light gets punctured, the manual says not to use it if that’s the case, so then you’d be out of a light. They sell a multi color version of this light that I’m excited to try that has effects and stuff as well! For the price, this is a great value for the money, and I highly recommend it! Especially for film makers and even photographers! I absolutely adore it!

Portable, lightweight soft video lighting, durability unknown
I'm a big fan of portable lighting. I've bought far too many different lights in different form factors over the years, that I certainly don't need more. But when I saw that there was an inflatable video light, how could I say no? This Ulanzi UA12 is the smallest inflatable light in the series, but honestly, it's probably enough for most uses. I also have the 20w and 60w models, and this one gets the most use. This light is made from a fairly robust feeling plastic, almost like a pool float, and inside is a couple of light strips and a battery pack. When deflated, the UA12 packs down into about a 7 inch folded piece of plastic, with a slight bulge because of the battery pack. You do get a plastic drawstring bag to store it in, which helps to keep it folded during transport. I haven't had any issues with the material, but I would imagine that over time, this light will be far more likely to break than any normal video lights. That's just the nature of what this is. So you do need to be careful with it. But in my time owning this and the other models, they have held up well. Inflating is literally a 3 second process, and deflating is about the same. You can use a pump, but I just use my own breath and it's just one single breath to get it filled. There is the obvious downside to this in that you are blowing germs into the light and there is no way to clean out the inside. But it's just so convenient to inflate it this way! Deflating is done by simply pushing in the plastic seal on the inflation port, and letting the air come back out. There is a magnetic 14"20 mount included that allows you to attach this light to anything with a 1/4"20 screw. You can see in my pictures how I use it. But you can also use the magnets on the back of the light to attach it to anything metal (not aluminum, of course). The light is super lightweight, so you don't need anything hefty to hold it. It's about as fast of a setup and tear down as you can get. The light itself is very bright, and fairly well diffused due to the frosty front of the light. While you can see the halo of the light strip when staring directly at it, the light it produces on your subject is very soft. And because of the length, you can get a good wraparound light and eliminate hard shadows better than most portable video lights. The only downside is that if you are carrying around a rig with this on it, the light can tend to wobble and flop around since it's just plastic and nothing rigid. But when mounted on a desk or a stand, it stays where it is just fine. Controlling the light is straightforward using the screen on the back. There are buttons for brightness and temperature, and a power button. You can change the temperature of the light from a warm tungsten light to a cool daylight and a little beyond. And of course you can adjust brightness. Honestly, I rarely use this at anything close to full brightness. There is plenty of power for any vlogging setup. You charge the UA12 using USB-C and the charging port has a waterproof seal on it. This also helps this light to be splashproof, though I wouldn't submerge it. But it is designed to handle some moisture. For the price, the UA12 is a steal when it comes to the kind of lighting you can get, and the portability. This will fit into any backpack and you won't even know it's there. It's bright, the lighting is soft, it's battery powered so no wires needing run, and it takes literally seconds to set up. So in my mind, this is the PERFECT light for vlogging. I do worry about the longevity of this light, and though I don't plan to abuse it, I imagine that at some point the folding and unfolding of the unit will break down the seals or even the light strip inside, and the unit will fail. But only time will tell. In the meantime, this is an excellent piece of kit to have in your bag. Heck, I already have three!

Great product highly recommend, very easy to blow up but just wish there was some kind of pump to use as I would prefer it as I need multiple users to blow it up.
