Highly recommended
Came yesterday, the laptop is fantastic. I saw someone say the keyboard wasn't backlit but couldn't find any proof that they made the Inspiron 15 model without the keyboard being backlit so I ordered it anyway. The F10 button turns it on and off, if that doesn't work you need to press Fn and Esc and then press F10.The sound quality is amazing I was surprised how clear and high quality it was when watching Game of Thrones. Didn't think I'd use the touch screen much but I find myself using it a lot whilst scrolling as I don't currently have a mouse and it's a nice feature to have (will probably need to order a micro fibre cloth to keep it clean though). The display is so crisp and clear, you can tell it's 4k the moment you turn it on!Quality product, would recommend

Skip this buy a Mac (unless you like gaming)
Where to start with this piece of junk. I bought it for college where I studied product design. If you're a creative don't buy this laptop. The graphics card is not compatible with any of the Adobe suite. For example if you're using Photoshop it relies heavily on the ram. The computer struggles to run chrome and any Adobe software simultaneously. I spent a lot of hours trying to troubleshoot this problem but it couldn't be fixed.4k Screen... Litterally what's the point? Creates more problems than it solves. Windows downscaled a lot of programs to adapt to this as a result the font would be miniscule so you always have to change the settings in each program. Also 4k is pointless on a 15 inch screen. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a 1080p screen and this. I'm assuming 4k Screen uses more power also.Touchscreen is useless. The laptop hinge doesn't bend back far enough to warrant this feature. It's pointless for drawing as it doesn't have pressure sensitivity. It's also glitchy as hell and laggy. The laptop itself is made of very bad quality materials. The hinges begin to come apart for no reason. I've seen this with a friend who also had the exact same problem on his one. The fan guards are so brittle. I kept the laptop in a neoprene sleeve inside a bag. One day my bag was in the basket of a bike for a short cycle. After I took the laptop out the rattling had cause the guard to shatter.Unless you like gaming there's no point in having this computer. Even if you do like to game just get a tower PC. I upgraded to a used 2015 MacBook pro which is litterally bomb proof and runs smooth like butter + doesn't break your back to carry around and also costed half the price.

Awesome bit of kit. Very much worth the money over competitors.
Well, this is a brilliant piece of kit.I ordered the UHD model, and have been blown away with the performance of this device. The big selling point for me originally was the service hatch on the bottom - like older laptops getting to the components for servicing and upgrading requires undoing just a couple of screws and then you can access everything. It's a stark contrast to my old alienware, which required you to take off the keyboard to get to some of the components!I bought the model with the 1Tb SSHD, the hybrid hard drive, and I found that it was plenty fast enough but since I'm a bit of a performance junkie I added a 500Gb Crucial SSD, and upgraded the RAM to 16Gb. This machine flies. It's faster than my old alienware dedicated gaming machine, it's smaller, it's quieter, it's got a battery life that's measured in hours not minutes, and it's got a gorgeous 4K touch screen (which seamlessly drops to 1920x1080 to play Civilisation V)I deal with a lot of laptops in my job, and other mobile tech as well - and it takes a lot to genuinely impress me - but this laptop did. Bravo Dell this is one sweet machine :)The only negative I have is the keyboard. Lots of people have praised it but it doesn't work for me - I find the keys too squishy and not enough travel. It's not a dealbreaker - this review has been written on the machine along with several thousand words of text already - but for long typing periods like my sermon prep I think I'll be adding an external keyboard.Touchpad is great, screen goes bright enough to see in my dining room with bright sunlight behind me (and crucially goes dark enough not to hurt my eyes in a darkened room!), the backlit keyboard works fine.I'm sure you've got the general gist of my review. This is an excellent device.

Motherboard Broke
Really good product, but motherboard broke after only a year and a half. DELL wouldnt help as its out of warranty, so cost me over £200 to repair. Im dissappinted the most important part of the laptop broke after a year and a half. Before finding out the warranty had expired too, i tried calling dell helpline and i couldnt hear who i was speaking too because it was so loud in the background. I then messaged them on facebook messenger, which is meant to be another form of help, and they took hours to reply. Not helpful at all.Maybe this is just my experience and i got unlucky but still annoyed at how quick the motherboard broke.I loved the laptop, but wont be buying DELL products again because i dont think think its acceptable for this level of life expectancy on a gaming laptop.
