Taste sensation, something novel to try
Bought this for Christmas as a treat as I had read about it on Atlas Obscuria's smaller food focused updates and really wanted to try it.The only other sort of cheese I still am trying to find is a form of harder brie which you dunk in coffee, havent found it for sale yet. This cheese is a softer brown cheese, a little like a softer cheddar in consistency, the taste is like a caramel taste, smooth, without the stickiness of caramel but still soft, though probably does not melt on the tongue. This is a decent size piece of the cheese if you are just trying it out and sharing it with family and friends. It is a good idea to slice it fine, it is not particularly good for grating. I ate it with fine cut toast or melba toast. It is fine with a cracker or water biscuit too. It can be grilled onto toast too, although I did not like it just as much served this way. I would equally not pair this with any sliced vegetables or fruit, like kiwi or strawberry or grapes. Its good by itself.

Very rich tasting
I bought this cheese having seen it on you tube! Curiosity got the better of me and being a foodie I bought some. It’s very rich. Caramel flavoured and I couldn’t eat much of it. It’s good on toast with Red Leicester cheese. Curiosity satisfied! Lol.

Best cheese in the world - delivered quickly and in a ‘cool’ container - thank you - will be buying again.

Slightly disappointed
Originally when I saw the image on amazon it looked a fair decent amount of cheese I was going to receive. I was shocked to receive just a very tinny little cube of cheese. Delivery was a problem as they failed to deliver on specified date. So, as much as I love brown cheese which reminds me of beautiful Norway, I'll never order this again. Too expensive for a tinny little cube of cheese.

Just what it should be like
Our local deli let us down with this for the second time so I used this supplier to get some for my daughter’s birthday. They were very reliable and cheese even arrived a day earlier than expected despite the Christmas holiday. Cheese was well packed and arrived with a chill pack. This cheese has a lovely, nutty taste but for me it’s the way it melts so smoothly in the mouth that’s the best part.It worked out pricy due to the chill pack and express shipping but worth it for a treat

It’s SMALL- 250g not half a kilo
The weight description was in lbs not kg, so 0.55lbs = 250g. Putting weight in lbs (pounds) on a U.K. website is a little misleading as we measure weight in kilos. I was a little surprised to see the tiny block when I had been expecting half a kilo. My fault for not reading the title more closely, but I was disappointed when it arrived. I probably would have gone for one of the 2x250g offers if I had realised, or would have bought at my local Skandikitchen shop. That said, it is a delicious cheese.

DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!!!!! Warning: might cause addiction.
Try this cheese at your own peril. I am so sorry to every English person I have introduced to this cheese, as each and every one of them is now addicted to a cheese that is next to impossible to get a hold of, or extremely expensive. So unless you are already an addict, my advice to you is to slowly back away....On a serious note, this is the genuine Norwegian brunost. Goat's cheese that taste mild with a tinge of caramel I have been told, although that is not how you think of it when you have grown up with it. Usually this is, alongside liverpate (leverpostei) some of the first things you give kids to eat when they learn to eat solids. It is very gentle and mild and HEALTHY! (If put on proper bread.) It is chock-a-block full of iron if you didn't know. :)

Taste of heaven, and well worth the expensive price as a treat now and again.
