Worked perfectly in my iMac 27" (Late 2012 - 3.4GHz Core i7)
Bought my iMac March 2013 from Apple Store and configured all extras apart from additional memory because the store price from Apple was extortionate and I had researched on YouTube how easy it is to replace the memory in the iMac 27" model (unlike the 21.5" model). I ordered 2 kits totalling 32GB (4x8GB) because the iMac 27" has 4 memory slots. They arrived promptly and were well packed in sturdy plastic cartons so the modules were well protected and a little tricky to get out but if you pop them out from behind you won't damage them - just make sure you discharge any static and always hold the modules on the edge. I suggest leaving the modules in their packaging until you have removed the memory module cover on the back of the iMac. To install the memory modules you need to lay your iMac screen down on a flat surface (use a soft cloth to protect from scratches - an empty pillow case works just fine). Remove the power cord to get access to the little push button to release the memory module cover. I used the flat end of a screwdriver to push this in hard in order to pop off the cover. Once opened there are two catches holding the existing memory in place (in my case 2x4GB). Pull these catches towards you to release the grip on the modules. Carefully pull out the modules one at a time. Remove all modules before installing any new ones. Now install the new memory modules using the reverse technique. There is a little notch along the edge with the pins so it's impossible to install them the right way around. If you buy more than 1 pack I would recommend you install each pack together i.e. don't mix them in the slots. When installing my modules I found they were a really tight fit and I had to force them in. This could be down to the positioning of the notch above. It seemed easier when installing the modules in the slots from which I took out the old memory. Perhaps the engineer at Apple had the same problem and once forced in initially they become easier to install. I did try to pull them out again but they seemed to be stuck fast...so didn't try again on the basis I've maxed out the memory so don't intend to remove. Push the leaver forward once all modules are installed - it won't click into place if you have not properly installed the memory per the above. Clip the memory cover back in place and power on your iMac. My beeped repeatedly first time suggesting the modules were not fully clipped in. I opened back up and push each modules firmly back in their slots, replaced the cover and booted up again - BINGO all 32GB recognised and has been running sweet every since with no reported system issues and boy coupled with the Fusion drive I spec'd this machine now flies. I looked at several different supplier included non-Apple certified modules from Crucial but decided that if I am going to spend £150+ on memory for an iMac that cost significantly more then it's worth paying the extra to have the reassurance that Apple engineers have certified these memory modules for iMac. It was a toss up between Corsair and Crucial but on the whole I felt that more customers provided positive review comments for Crucial (not just the star rating) and besides when I upgrade my MacBook Pro memory recently I purchased Crucial and have not had any issues with them for over 18 months now. As others have stated on reviews before if you already have 16GB then the performance uplift from 16 to 32 will not be as noticeable as the jump from 8 to 32 obviously but improving your iMac memory by 50% has to be a wise investment given that memory is one of the most cost effective and only ways of upgrading an iMac 27". For gamers out there the main reason I pushed memory up to 32GB was to run some of the triple A games at high frame rates. I spec'd the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2GB and this machine now runs Gotham City, COD Black Ops etc flawlessly. Running video editing and ripping software along with multiple other office applications concurrently now is a breeze with no noticeable slow down - and I multi-task heavily with workflow on my iMac.

A much-needed upgrade.
This memory is listed as "Mac compatible" which I figured is just a marketing blurb and all of its specs matched what I required for my (Windows) laptop, so I figured I'd take the chance and buy these after my first attempt failed with a different brand of RAM, some time prior. I was skittish about booting with a different amount of RAM from hibernation, so I shut it down completely and performed the replacement. Pretty standard stuff. As another reviewer has mentioned, be sure to wait a while for the initial boot after RAM installation to complete!! It can take a while, your system/the RAM is not necessarily broken. Maybe have a snack or take a peek at the television or phone for a few minutes while your computer does its thing. After the initial lengthy boot, you will have your normal boot times back again on subsequent boots/restarts. Anyway, this new RAM works great! I finally have enough memory to accommodate all of the programs I like to run simultaneously, such as monstrous browser sessions that can easily eat 2GB of memory a piece. My system would slow to a crawl on 4GB, as it simply wasn't enough. Now it's perpetually responsive. As with all RAM upgrades though, you'll only notice a particular performance increase if you didn't have enough to start with, but you could always use the spare memory as a RAM drive for ludicrous temporary storage speeds. For determining compatibility, it can be slightly complicated. If you look up your system's processor/motherboard on the manufacturer's site, it can usually give you precise details on what type of memory - and how much of it - is compatible with your system. It's what led me to this product in particular. I think Crucial also has a web-app that can help you determine compatibility by providing it with your computer's model. Overall, very pleased with this purchase.

Amazing memory. Wish I did this sooner. My laptop operates like a dream now.
I have had my laptop for about 7/8 years and 8GB ram and macOS Sierra were just not cutting it anymore. Feels like I have a new laptop (especially with the update to macOS Catalina). It's a lot faster and nothing lags anymore. Quick 5 minute install if you've done it before and very easy if you haven't, trust me. I considered buying a new laptop as working from home now means I need to squeeze a lot out of this old boy but the RAM has really done it's job and I think I can use this for another 2/3 years or at least until the CPU gives up. Better to spend £80 than £2500 on a new laptop. From the pictures you'll see that - I have a mid 2012 MBP with 2.5GHz Dual core i5, Samsung 840 Pro SSD as the main HDD and have replaced my optical drive with an additional HDD. Now running a "pseudo-super" MBP (the bottleneck is now my cpu lol) If you have a 2013 MBP please try and do as much upgrades as you can! With each one it feels like you actually bought a new laptop.

Great memory! I bought this memory to install in my late 2009 white macbook and so far its been working wonders:) My awesome mac reads all 8 GB of memory and uses it all without any problems. I am glad I spent the $65.00 on this, it was wort every penny. UPDATE** So its been almost 6 months, I wanted to keep you guys updated to let you know how its still working. So 6 months later this memory still works great, I have never had a problem with the memory upgrade and overall my old late 2009 white MacBook is able to have many tabs open without signs of slowing down. Keep in mind this Mac does use the CORE2DUO processor not the CORE i5 OR i7 PROCESSORS so in other words its not going to be as fast as my mid 2012 MacBook pro. I won't be able to edit 4K videos or play triple A games but I will have the ability to keep more tabs and apps open and just do more without having to wait for something to reload. I just bought this 8GB RAM kit to help my white MacBook keep up with the modern operation systems. The processor is up to the task but the very limiting 2GB of RAM it came installed with was holding it back drastically. It may have been enough for 2008 and 2009 but in todays world 2 GIGs of RAM is NOTHING. If I would of kept the 2GB RAM in my white MacBook there would be no way it would be able to run the OS while allowing me to use my apps without it being VERY SLOW AND LAGGY. This RAM helps my Mac prolong its life and overall usability. Keep in mind tablets and phones now come standard with 2GB of RAM, my iPad mini 4 has 2GB of RAM. Just to use a modern operating system (Windows and Mac OS) it needs at least 2GB of RAM, thats just enough to load the OS and use it comfortably and smoothly without any lag but if you plan on doing ANYTHING ELSE (like browse the web, watch youtube, netflix, play a game or app, use iTunes, etc.) you will see your system run very slow and overall become unusable. I think if you want to use a computer like how its meant to be used you should at the very least have 4GB of RAM but if you can install more RAM definitely do it, installing more will only help your system. I am keeping this product at 5 stars because its a great product, its still doing what I need and want it to do without giving me any problems. If you are debating on upgrading the RAM in your older white MacBooks Id say go for it. The CORE2DUO processors are still powerful enough to do any basic task like watching online videos, video chat and play some non demanding games. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask(: Ill be happy to help!!

I got this to upgrade my late 2011 15" MBP (2.2g i7). I originally had 4GB, but it wasn't enough when I'm working on a lot of things have multiple Chrome tabs open, Word, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Spotify, and Evernote occasionally. I still had Mountain Lion and wanted to upgrade to Mavericks. Plus, a friend gave me ProTools 10 since I wanted to experiment with recording and editing some music. So, I definitely could use a memory upgrade... Apple said that that my machine can only only be upgraded up to 8GB, until I read from others that a 16GB works. Then I went to the Crucial site, ran their memory advisor, and this kit came up on top of the result. Before purchasing, I've read some opinions that the difference between a 16GB and an 8GB is hardly noticeable. However, since I plan on eventually replacing my HD with a SSD, and just for about $60 more, I just went for this 16GB kit. Much cheaper and less hassle in the long run if you plan on upgrading to 16GB later. I don't know about you, but I prefer to have same size ram for each of the slots, which is also recommended anyway... And did I mention it was SUPER easy to install? Just follow the instructions on the Apple site and make sure everything's properly inserted as there's kind of a trick to it (you'll hear a click/snap that tells you it's in). I guess my only advice is to be gentle from when you open the case to removing the old memory, especially on the first time. There are times when it feels like something won't budge. Instead of going full force, just gradually increase pressure and you might have to wiggle some stuff a bit. It also helps to have the right tools, especially if you don't want to void your warranty... So, with the 16GB memory and a clean install of OS X Mavericks, my MBP runs 3/4 times faster. Adobe CS apps load within 3 seconds and there's no lag when switching in between apps. I've had the memory kit installed for about 3 months now, and I never had any problems, nor have my machine get really loud (and sometimes hot) when running intensive applications. I'm a happy panda so far!

Upgraded my late 2011 15" MBP from 8GB to this 16GB RAM (together with an internal upgrade to SSD), and it's working well. RAM was easy to remove and easy to install — just have to get the angle right when slotting it in.

Consiglio l'aquito a tutti.
