Lots better than its predecessor.
After checking all different models of syphon I decided on the Dudley. The main reason was that it is adjustable to fit most cisterns and I was having a little difficulty in determining the exact size of the "worn out" installed syphon. Once the old syphon was removed the Dudley was adjusted to the correct size and the correct plug removed and then fitted - no problems. Still having a little problem remembering the way to instigate a short flush as it is backwards to everything I have previously used. Another good thing is that the diaphragm can be changed without the trouble of removing the cistern to get at it (the main reason the job had to be done). All in all the syphon seems constructed well and hopefully will give good service.

Initially expensive, but major long-term cost saver
If you need to use a siphon (rather than a drop flush valve) then this is a very good one. The main advantage is that, once installed, all servicing takes place within the cistern. No more dealing with corroded wall fixings, no more fighting with corroded and unreachable under pan fixings...Every time I go (in a professional sense!) to a toilet that is refusing to flush, I pray it has one of these siphons- diaphragm replacement in less than 10 minutes, no disconnection and then crossed threads and leakage from inlet valves, no overflow connections, no corroded hardware......On the negative side, the price can be hard to justify to a landlord for instance, when an ordinary, single part siphon is only about £5, but talk about the long-term cost savings and you are unlikely to be refused, in my experience.

Easy to use product that suffers from poor instruction manual.
I found this surprisingly easy to fit especially since I have a pipe connecting my cistern to the bowl so I didn't have to remove the cistern. I'm deducting one star because the instructions were impossible and too small to read (though to be honest you will probably just figure it out) and I think that it leaks a little water into the bowl after some flushes. The device saves a lot of water though so I'm not too worried. BTW, the partial flush works by pressing and holding down the handle until the flushing stops. I don't think that this is made clear at all by the instructions or the sticker that comes with it to put near the flush.

Quick change for new WC syphon
Easy to fit. If you have a close coupled WC, you'll need to remove the cistern which is a bit of a pain - but you'll only have to do this once. After that you can replace parts of the syphon as needed. Bought this last week, and this weeks it's 20% more from the same supplier on Amazon, so shop around.

These things are great and should be fitted whenever you need to replace ...
I've had one of these for many years and recently bought another for the downstairs cloakroom. Replace the flap valve in 10 minutes without shutting off the water or removing the cistern! These things are great and should be fitted whenever you need to replace a siphon.

he lugs and
Arrived on time and worked well after a lot of alterations to it. As others have said it has to have the lugs cut off it to fit into a slim line toilet. However once done its a good idea to be able to take off the syphon, for replacement O rings etc, without taking the toilet to bits. Its also quite well made.

Toilet to go!
A very good product whichnis easy to fit providing you remember to order snd fit a 'donut' as this is key to a successful fitting. Also remember to check the normal water level in the cistern as this is what governs the height that the Turbo 88 is designed for.
