Smooth & quiet—cheap plastic slide rails
I have only used this clipper once, but was very impressed with how quiet it was. One reviewer claimed a noise level of 33dB with his iPhone, but gave no other details. For reference, I used “SPL Meter” from the App Store (set to C weighting and slow response time) and measured sound levels for each of the three cutting speeds at 1 meter distance. Here are my results: 5000RPM (45dB), 5800RPM (46dB), and 6500RPM (47dB). Not quite as quiet as the other reviewer’s results, but still acceptable to me. I bought this unit to replace my much smaller —AND NOISY—cordless trimmer and my 15-year-old corded clippers. My corded clippers were just, well, cumbersome to manage (e.g., having to hold the cord with my left hand while keeping it from flying all over the place and getting tangled on the faucet, towel hanger, drawer pulls, etc.).My only dissatisfaction with this unit is that 5/8-inch is the longest cutting length (which I did not notice when determining if I was going to purchase it, because I was focused more on the battery life and noise level). Would I buy it again? Sure, but had I noticed a comparable unit with a longer cutting length, I might have purchased the other unit instead. The manual states that the moving blade is made of ceramic...looks kind of plasticy to me, but I’m sure it’s not plastic. It also says that the fixed blade is titanium. But I question if it’s really titanium, or a titanium-coated blade that will eventually wear off. I do not know what the truth in advertising rules are for this. It’s too early to tell if the battery will in fact last 4 hours; however, I do not believe it will be an issue, as it’s no problem at all to charge it to full before I need to use it. Since first turning it on (it was 100% charged out of the box), I have fiddled with it some, and then did a quick trim up, and it’s still at 95%. I would think that the 4 hours would pertain to the slowest cutting speed. Again, appears to be zero issue. If you’re looking for quiet, cordless shears with a long battery life, I would, at this point, have to recommend these.5-MONTH UPDATE: Check out the two additional photos I uploaded showing how flimsy the plastic slide rails are. I’ve used this unit about four times now to cut my own hair, but after the third cut, the plastic slide rail broke just trying to slide off one of the depth guide attachments (not sure what it’s called). I did have initial reservations about the unit based on how difficult it was to remove the attachments. Turns out my concern was justified. It’s now past the Amazon return window, and I’m probably stuck with a defective unit. No idea how to contact the company to arrange for a replacement unit. If the company reaches out to me after reading this post and offers a free replacement unit, I will increase my rating.

wow, i was really surprised
I actually bought this to cut my cat's hair. I used to use some old Wahl hardcore plug-in clippers.. but the noise was scaring my cats. I bought this based on reviews... was hesitant though because it wasn't a major brand. My cat is a short hair but he has really, really thick fur so I was prepared to send this thing back.. but man.. i was wrong. It is really pretty quiet, and it cut his fur really well! I didn't use a guard.. and it took several times going back over his coat.. but he didn't mind the clipper AT ALL.. and the thing did a dang good job! It's light and super easy to handle , and I love all the electronic display stuff (compared to my old Wahl, this is like another planet for me). I've only used this thing once, but color me really impressed. The best thing - it's cordless!

Cuts well, cuts quiet, so why the BEEP!
I've been using these things for over a year, and am pretty happy with how they cut and how quiet they are. And the battery seems to last forever. I have just two complaints. The first is the location and ease of pressing the buttons. I use these on my body as well as my head, so my grip on them changes depending on where I'm mowing. I turn them off accidentally several times each time I use them, as well as change the speed. Just touch the buttons located right where I hold the clippers, and they turn off, slow down, speed up, etc. It's quite annoying and something I feel should have been obvious to the makers. The second is the wife-waking BEEP that goes off every time I, yes you guessed it, press a button. Why wreck the world's quietest clippers by making them beep like that? I'm already holding the things, I can tell when a button has been pressed.

Battery life is amazing
I absolutely love these hair clippers! I’ve been cutting hair for awhile (in my teenage years for my dad, and when I got married my husbands hair) and I’ve always used a cheap set from the mart of wals. I started looking for another because my previous set was pulling my baby’s hair (he was just over a year old when I ordered these). I love that it’s cordless. And it arrived charged. I’ve used these every 6 weeks on my husband and sons hair since Jan 1, and it still has 30% charge on it. I emailed the company because I had misplaced the smallest guard, I still have not found it. They were prompt and very helpful, sent me a replacement quickly. I would definitely order another if I had to (maybe get one for my in-laws).

By far the best
The hair clipper set arrived with 100% charged according to what was shown on its LED display. Within hours, I had had my haircut at home with the hair clipper (set at the medium speed); and I was pleasantly surprised by what I had experienced with it. It is simply by far the best hair clipper over all of the various hair clippers I have owned before. The blades are very sharp; the cut is smooth, clean and fast, without any pulling or snag. It is also remarkably quiet. The capacity and quality of the battery are very impressive. 93% charge still remained after the first haircut. After that, it was charged with the power adapter to its full capacity, i.e., 100%; and, ten days later, the reading for the remaining charge is still 100%, showing no charge leaking at all in the battery.

A great shaver with few cons
I was debating between 3 or 4 star reviews and I try to mention pros and cons in my opinion:Pros:- Battery life- Easy of use- Does a good job with beards and also trimming head- Additional accessories such as beards shaper, and stripe for back of your head- Not too noisy- Slick and also cordlessCons:- Too sharp, I have cut myself and my partner cut me too. It hurts and it bleeds- Not many heads for adjusting how much you'd like to cut. There are only couple of heads and my previous machine had more shaving heads which is easier to find which one to choose from- It is sharp and while shaving, your hair (specially beards) flies every where and it is not easy to clean after. Even your mirror gets hairy. I did not experience it with other shavers.
