The Wild Robot: Now a major DreamWorks animation! : Brown, Peter: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Wonderful! - One of the nicest stories I've read in a while. My class of year 3 children chose this from a list of 100 rec'd books for Year 3 and we're using it as a guided reading book. It's lovely. In terms of teacher stuff: • The language is rich and interesting but easy to read and decipher. • The chapters are short but full of information. There isn't a single chapter that has been anything close to filler. One of my TAs said the book would have been perfect for her son because he couldn't handle reading long books, but with the short chapters - some of less than a full page - he would have been able to handle this. • The way the author uses subtle hints to create a picture is so creative and lends itself really well to high level inference and figuring out context from words used. Most importantly though, as someone who has read the book to see if they'd enjoy it as a story -- it's such a gorgeous tale of belonging and fitting in that I couldn't put it down. I read the whole thing in about 2 hours and couldn't stop. Even the slow build start is interesting enough for my kiddos to want to devour it just like I did. A wonderful story and I'm so glad our random number generator picked this from our 100 list and then that my kids voted for it. Review: Fantastic story - A great book and series and we all look forward to any further books in the series.

lovely children’s book
Nice little book with themes of love and change. It’s an easy read and nothing too awful happens to distress young children.

***Best Books of our year*** and we read a lot!
What can I say! I have been reading the Wild Robot & the Wild Robot returns over the last few months at bedtime with my seven year old son. The chapters are short & so sweet and the story moves beautifully along in each chapter. We love all the characters and there are so many. We've had so many gorgeous discussions about values, life and death and so much more. We enjoyed the descriptions of the outdoors, the action, the feelings of Roz, the heart warming moments of helping one another. There is something for everyone in this book and we will count down the days until the third book where we catch up again with our robot. Roz and brightbill are well and truly in our hearts ♥️

Wonderful Read
Just a brilliant and entertaining read from start to finish. Well written. Yes but different in places to the amazing film but the content is still there. Still give it 10/10

Great for film lovers
Got this as my little one liked the film. The book gives lots of extra nice details that the film doesnt have. We are enjoying it. (6 year old)

Easy read and good condition
Great story and good quality new book. My 6 yo is reading this independently as the chapters are one or two pages so not daunting.

A mark of a truly good children's book, is one that adults enjoy reading as well. This is one of those books. Bought it for my 7 yr old. We both agreed that this is by far the best book we've read together. The story is well thought out, we felt we could relate to the main characters and the author touches on several important points through the course of the book.
