Magic Ammonia Free Clay Lightener -ThisSize17 oz

This removed about 5 layers of color from my hair, and my hair was platinum blonde after using it. I was really surprised at how well it worked. The smell was not as obnoxious as bleach and it was just as easy to use. However, it still damaged my hair a lot and burned my scalp, just like traditional bleach. It also did not take the color over it very well (I used Overtone hair color in blue, teal, purple, and pink). Although I use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, my color still faded really fast, and normally Overtone dyes do not do that, so I’m attributing it to the lightener. If you are looking for something to take your color out, though, this is great!

I used Magic clay lightener with Olaplex 1&2 and 30v developer on level 5/6 hair for off-root lifting to a level 7/8 to tone without noticeable damage.Product came as described and in time.Will use again, would recommend.

Excellent product

I haven’t tried this, but the comment below mine made me want to clear things up. This is not a on scalp bleach, and it is not for removing direct dyes (crazy colors). There is specific color removers for those types of color. Bleaching over direct dye will make it go further into the cuticle. Also this is for Balyage (hair painting). Don’t use this product if you don’t know what it is for.
