Championship Manager 3

Excellent game and service

Three stars because this isn't in the correct packaging it comes with the sold out software design all over it. Five stars because it's cm 3 and a classic, but not because it's not as describe.

Arrived quickly and works well...love the old champ manager games...

The disc i got with this version is not champ man 3 I got 01/02 disc instead one whixh i already have!

Literally cannot put this game away. Best of the best. More modern manager games have moved away from the format of the old championship manager games since the split of eidos and sport interactive (marriage made in heaven broken up by greed, so sad). The best part I love about this game is scouting unknown players, making them legends and putting your team in the history books. Unlike the more recent games CM3 records and informs you of your success e.g. when you hear in real life that ronaldo has broken the record for most goals scored and is awarded FIFA World player of the year, you can be just as proud that your player has broken the club record in your own management game and is also awarded the European World Player of the Year award (more modern games do not do this, taking the whole point of success and hunger for more away). The game is so much more realistic in terms of success, failure and statistics that I have to beg eidos and sport interactive to get back together and recreate the series. The new ones are mediocre at best............P.S. haven't had consistent sleep for 3 days....

It's 2011 and I am still waiting for another good football managing game as engrossing as this one.Hours, Days, Weeks, Months would fly by as I played this enthralling game. It seems that more modern managing games don't give you the freedom to manage like this one did. This truly was the last of the great management games.The more recent versions of Championship Manager and Football Manager seem to have set rules like taking coaching and advice from coaches which seems to determine the result of the game. In CM3 you could build a squad of unknowns by scouting the foreign markets and bringing in very cheap players to make an underdog team win things. The charm seems to be missing from the modern games.The only issue I had with this game was that it was too good and wasted far too much of my life.

Just seeing the box design fills me with a warm nostalgic glow. This game, the first showcasing the new interface, really captured a whole new generation of Champ Man addicts. I first played on the CM2 96/97 Italian Leagues as a bright eyed 12 year old unaware of the effect this game would have on my previous active social life. Those first Gianni Comanidini goals after signing him on a free for Lazio...no drug could ever compare! This was collecting stickers AND football in the playground put together, to beautifully corrupt a generation. Gaming like no other. This incarnation was the best of the lot for me. I couldn't play on it for days because of my screen properties which only served to enhance the hysteria.

This game has all the makings of a great. It combines exquisite graphics with marvellous screenplay. Players as young as seven can play and understand it, although it challenges even the proffesional adult! The only fault is that it takes so long to install and load, although this is probably because it has such good graphics.This is my best buy yet and though i've had it for around 5 months, i still can't tear myself away from it!!
