Eventually these bugs would break down and get sucked through the filter and into the engine
I bought this because on my previous vehicle the cold air intake would always have a bunch of bugs caught in the grooves. Eventually these bugs would break down and get sucked through the filter and into the engine. Do you really want to get the bugs out of your engine?This fit perfect on my air filter which was actually a AEM filter. The fit is snug and it wraps the end of the filter perfect. Hopefully this will keep those little bugs off the filter.

Perfect fit for 2014 F150 K&N 5.0 CAI
Fits perfectly on a 2014 F150 5.0 K&N CAI. Keeps debris from settling between the ridges on the air filter. Don't know if I really need the waterproofing but it's nice to have. Did not notice any changes in performance.

Great for keeping water out!
I live in WA state where we get a lot of rain and I was afraid of water getting into my CAI. This seems to keep the water out. My only complaint is that the fitment is very loose.

Great Item
I absolutely LOVE this item. I put it over my K&N air filter, and it keeps the air filter much, much cleaner, by preventing larger items to even reach the filter itself. Very easy to wash, simply take off and run under water or use air compressor to blow off the wrap.

I am on the road all the time and sometimes don't have time to stop and clean my filter so I have 2 extra, already cleaned and oiled in big baggies. all I have to do is take the dirty one off and put a clean one on. put the dirty in the bag and clean all when I get home.
