Was not long enough. I had to call a plumber for the outside drain clean. I think it will be useful for shorter pumping in the house for clogs.

I bought this to unclog my bathtub shower combo because all of a sudden for days the water would just go down slowly so I bought the plastic sticks that are meant to unclog drains but it did not work at all. I think they were too short and it made things worse because the water started draining even slower, so much so that the tub would start to fill up with water.I looked up longer products because the clog was further down than the plastic kind would reach and I found this product that looks like the ones plumbers use but in a smaller size. I'm so glad I found this because it worked really well. The instructions are on the back of the label taped to the drum of the plumbing snake auger and they were easy to follow. I like how bendable the snake is so you can get it right where you need. Though you may have to unscrew something in your tub if it has a cross metal thing on it that might not let the snake in.I followed the instructions and on the first try I got out a small clump of hair and on the the second try I got the major clog that was causing all the problems. I did not get any gloves in my delivery even though it mentions it in the description but I had my own disposable ones and you do need them if you don't want the gunk to get on your hands. It did come with the drawstring bag.Cleaning the snake is sort of easy you just rinse it off and let it air dry before attempting to put it back in the drum. Also you may want to spray it with wd40 oil to keep it from rusting. Putting it back you just have to push the snake back in manually but I wish it were easier to do this like turning the drum would pull it back in but you must do it manually.I am so glad I bought this auger because living in an apartment I often times get clogs either in the kitchen sink or bathroom sinks and even tubs because of other tenants and this way I can take care of a clog faster than having to wait for the manager to send someone. The ease of use was very good for me. I would recommend this auger because it works on clogs that other products may not reach or drain cleaners would be too slow to unclog. When you see the picture of my clog I don't think a drain cleaner would have worked and I would have wasted my money like I did with the plastic drain sticks.

Best 27 dollars I’ve spent.My tub was draining slow and I had a little dingy crappy snake so I attempted to use it and maybe help the clog. To my surprise instead of helping the matter it just made it worse.No draining. Not even a little.So I bought this little contraption and to be quite honest I almost returned it because… I figured I’d leave it to the professionals but…. the guy I called was busy.. & after stressing out over it for another 24 hours I figured …what the hell it couldn’t hurt to try. (tbh, I was also just kind of anxious and didn’t want to bother the guy again)WHEN I SAY THIS WAS EASY… I mean it was EASSSSYYYYY. 1 minute in I heard the GLORIOUS sound of a gargle and the water started to go drain.2 mins later I pulled out this monster.10/10 one of the grossest things ever but hey, I feel pretty darn accomplished.From this day forward screw the plants and kitchenware this is going to be my new house warming gift to anyone. ESPECIALLY anyone with hair. Lifesaver. Money saver. I can’t rave enough. If you’re on the fence… buy it. Trust me. If I can go it… you can too.

I highly recommended this snake plumbing to anyone who is on needed i personal use before I get from amazon, I was checking on reviews and I was surging on you tube how to use and I make my own decision before call the professional plumbers I'm very happy I save hundreds of dollars doing by myself the kitchen think is clean and clear I'm not worry no more.

I had an issue with the bathtub gurgling when the toilet was flushed. We had to have the vent pipe cleared two years ago to alleviate this which entailed a plumber getting on the roof with a long snake. When this happened again I had an idea that the plugs were being caused by a bad tie-in to the vent pipe by our bathroom installer from the bathroom sink. I ran this through the clean out plug in the trap and sure enough I ran into a glob of junk. I don't think the pitch is right and I believe the install went into the vent pipe creating a catch. This worked like a charm for me and saved me a couple hundred for a plumber visit.

didn't have high expectation as this was the cheapest amongst a few other options with similar looks, but the build quality is surprisingly sturdy.used it for the clogged bathtub immediately after receiving it.watched a few youtube videos but still followed the provided instructions.went gentle while pulling it out as i was afraid of damaging the coil.worked perfectly.

This thing was great! I tried draino to fix a clogged sink but it did nothing. Took 3-4 cycles of augering with this bad boy and it fixed it right up. $30 for an easy permanent solution to clogged drains is a no brainer.

I unclogged my kitchen drain with this product, worked great. You have to kind of feel it out and get used to it, follow the instructions, relatively simple to use.
