Got this for my daughter to teach her basic map skills and orienteering. It is durable and does it's intended purpose.

Bought for my son in Boy Scouts taking an orienteering class during summer camp. Just so happened everybody showed up with the exact same one. Unfortunately the class he was going to take was cancelled, but now we have it for next time anyway. Points north like it should, has angle marks, measuring marks, is lightweight easy to read and use. Seems like a quality product, for a low price.

It's decent for the price and a good size for kids to get used to. This was purchased as a learning device for our homeschool 7-year-old. It does have a turnable outer ring which can help you find true north more easily. It also came with a neck lanyard making it easier for her to wear and be sure it was always pointing in the right direction. I do believe it is accurately. Magnetized..

Larger than expected, works like a compass should, price price price was unbeatable 3 dollars,,

This product does not work as it should. I know what direction I'm standing and that is not what direction it says.

I didn't read the copy about this compass carefully enough before I bought it. To be fair, it does say," for kids". I didn't see that part. The compass works but it isn't made for serious duty. The case is mostly metal, but the bezel, the post and magnifier and back of the case are all plastic. There isn't even a place to attach a lanyard. I'm also not able to get the dial to illuminate even after exposing it to sunlight. I should have gone for the $30 dollar one. I'm assuming it would be better?

First of all it is plastic. Secondly, it doesn't come with anything like it shows in the pictures.
