GE 97673 300-Watt 5950-Lumen Specialty T2.5 Halogen Light Bulb, Clear, 2-Pack

I needed a T2.5 type halogen bulb for an older floor lamp with a dimmer control. I found this GE bulb and it's great to have my lamp working again.

I got these for a torchiere lamp and they work perfectly.I considered getting a 500 watt bulb as that’s the max rating for my lamp but I thought that would put out too much heat.The light is very easy on the eyes and makes working much easier than with LED or Fluorescent lighting.I’m tempted to buy more in case they end up banned. My last bulb lasted 5 years. I could get a lifetime of these for a reasonable price.

These bulbs are seriously bright. We have a very large living room and no light fixture. I know it's dumb but we are renting, so it is what it is. I purchased a cheap halogen lamp which came with a 190W bulb. It was OK but the room looked very dim. These bulbs are amazing. The room was instantly transformed; a single bulb completely lit a very large living room (estimate the size to be 20' X 40', maybe more) with very high ceilings.Have purchased these in the past and will definitely be purchasing more in the future.

Burned out within a couple months gave 4 stars not sure if fixture or bulb. Going on the theory brand is very good.

Brand name bulb so a bit more expensive. However, it fits an older fixture and is the correct wattage. Bulbs get very hot so don't handle or change until it cools.

Don't fool with the "cheap" ones - get this one. Trust me. I'm thrifty. I bought the cheap ones... I ended up cursing them every day. Finally I said Fine, I'll try the "real" one, the "expensive" one and see how IT does.Holy Crap. it performs flawlessly.The others blew in a matter of days or a couple of weeks, and every day I had to twist the bulb to get it to turn "on". My husband said it was the lamp. psssssh. I put this "real deal" in -- and perfection.I have not had to adjust the bulb daily, no twisting, no turning, no blowing out quickly. It is just what a bulb should be!!Sometimes, you can do just fine with an off brand - but not in this case. The off brands are not quite the same length, just a smidge off. This is perfect! Thank you!!!!

A few years ago I bought a dozen of T3 bulbs from some generic brand at a small fraction of the price I paid for these. The cheap ones I bought would burn out after only a few hours. Since I had two flood lights, one which has been using the same bulb for years, and the other that was going through bulbs every few hours, I though the problem was with the one light. I replaced the head unit, re-did all the wiring leading to the light, but no luck - still chewed through light bulbs. It was not until I came to Amazon and read reviews did I realize the culprit was the cheap bulbs. The one light that has been working non stop for years has an old high quality bulb in it and has never been replaced. I put in one of these new (expensive) bulbs and have not had a burn out. Unfortunately, there is a huge difference between the cheap-no name bulbs and these GE branded bulbs. Whoever is making/selling the cheap junk should be ashamed of themselves!

A little on the expensive side for one bulb, I'll just have to hope it holds out long. But overall, it's a great product and fits the lamp I needed it for.

This is the first time ordering this kind of light bulb and it is well worth the price. Came fast and neatly packaged. Really bright

don't like the color yellow light but it works and bright.
