Hurts
Well...I bought this for a TF2 Halloween costume. Worked fine, comfortable but the strap could eb tight.Then, I tried to use these while working on my car, then pool filter. Both required me to bend my knees over the concrete. The strap DIGS into your leg, and is very, very uncomfortable. I took them off.SO if you want to be the engineer from TF2, it works. If not, they might hurt. Maybe I wore them wrong?

my favorite type
As an auto mechanic I where knee pads often ten hours a day. Worn properly, which is opposite of the photo, they will stay where you need then better than most without the weight or rocking action of the harp plastic type. A single pair of these lasts me 8-12 month before i wear the foam enough to notice the loss of padding. Yes the inner liner comes loose , after a few days it will be free enough to pull out and throw away. the foan a strapps are well worth the mony. SM

decent knee pads
good price for decent knee pads. The felt backing tends to come unattached. They make your knees sweat, but make laying floor awhole lot more bearable.

Good padding but slip down
These offer excellent protection and padding but they are too heavy for the fasteners to hold them up so they slide down your leg.
