And I'm not alone. (As I write this the book has a over 30 reviews on Amazon.com and they're all five stars.)It's full of a remarkable variety of both classic and creative muffin recipes from scratch. Once you begin baking muffins from this book, you'll never have to depend on muffins from a box again.Muffins are one of my favorite things to bake. They're a great choice whenever you get the urge to bake because they are so quick and easy.This is a wonderful cookbook for all levels of bakers. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. There are 24 pages of full sized pictures of the finished products to tempt you.All the muffins I've made so far have been extremely easy and turned out perfectly. Favorites to date include the best basic muffins, whole wheat applesauce muffins and Boston brown bread muffins. Fantastic
I'm so pleased with this book. I own many baking books but I really enjoy baking muffins in particular and usually other cookbooks just don't contain all too many muffin recipes! I especially prefer vegan baking and this book provides an entire chapter of delicious vegan muffins -- as well as gluten-free muffins, if that is important to you. The recipes on their own are spectacular, although I sometimes tweak them to make them a big healthier and lighter (e.g. substituting half the oil for applesauce, using rice yogurt instead of dairy, reducing sugar, and so on). I have had excellent results every time! Most big recipe compilations like this are hit and miss because they're recipes that have been accumulated by the author from others and it's questionable as to how thoroughly they've been tested. I can say that that is thankfully not the case for this book. It also has more "meal"-type muffins, savory, ethnic (e.g., Indian), sweet, fruity -- you name it! So versatile. You'll never get bored! Apple, cherry, lemon, blackberry, banana, flax, chocolate, millet, cinnamon, corn, cheesey, caramel, bran, peanut butter, coconut, jalapeno, even meat: no grain, potential ingredient, or flavor combination goes unmentioned! Kudos to the author for including so many whole-grains! I guess sometimes the most wonderful cookbooks are those with the least hype. Would make a great gift, too!Just as an additional tip: to change things up, I alternate between my go-to regular muffin pan, Nordic Ware Muffin Pan - 12 cup Standard Size (heavy duty aluminum, made in USA - outstanding) used with If You Care Unbleached Large Baking Cups, 60-Count Boxes (Pack of 24) ; my "muffin top" pan, Chicago Metallic Non-Stick Original Muffin Top Pan ; and my mini-muffin pan, Wilton Aluminum 24-Cup Mini Muffin Pan used with If You Care Mini Baking Cups, 90-Count Packages (Pack of 24) . The variety keeps hungry fans satisfied. :)

Best resource for all things muffin
Fantastic selection of recipes makes this a must-have cookbook for bakers and fans of homemade muffins. We're really enjoying trying different recipes and have really liked everything so far. Highly recommended.

Muffin Mondays have never been better!
With the proliferation of baking blogs, I was dubious that a muffin book was actually necessary. Why buy a cookbook when Tastespotting exists? But this book is definitely necessary for anyone with a deep love for muffins who is looking to branch out beyond the typical banana or corn muffins. Don't get me wrong, Camilla Saulsbury has some great recipes for classic muffins, but the real strength of this book lies in its variety. There are sweet muffins, savory muffins, gluten-free muffins, vegan muffins, and even a section dedicated to global muffins. With 750 recipes, there is truly a muffin for every season, every craving, every picky eater, every food allergy, every dietary restriction.My favorites so far have been the pistachio citrus muffins and the chocolate basil muffins. The latter is the perfect way to use up all your summer basil once you get sick of salads and pesto.I've been working my way through this book for Muffin Mondays at the office, with 10 down and 740 left to go. I'm not quite sure who loves this book more, myself or my coworkers.

Amazing muffin book
I like muffins for breakfast or as a snack and this book gives me so many easy options to choose from. I've made a few of these recipes and they all came out great. Most recipes call for ingredients that you already have at home, such as, flour, sugar, baking soda, vanilla extract, sour cream/ yogurt. I highly recommend it. I also easily make many of the muffins right before work.

Nice one
Nice book, so many recipes for all tastes, easy ones too but I like recipe books to have a picture of the dish or the dessert as well. It makes it more interesting and appealing. Not big deal of course, just personal taste

Livre non nécessaire à mon sens. Accumulation de recettes dont la spécificité est le changement d'une proportion ou d'un ingrédient ou deux avec recette précédente ou déjà communiquée dans l'ouvrage. Par ailleurs tests de 3 recettes" Recettes non concluantes qui nécessitent adaptation pour résultat attendu. Toutes testées à plusieurs reprises ?????Aussi note négative au transport Amazone: le livre est arrivé dans une boîte sans aucune protection et légèrement endommagé. Bien sûr il demeure lisible, cependant pour un spécialiste de la distribution de livres c'est léger côté service à la clientèle.

One for every ingredient and every occasion
As long as you cut the sugar quantity by half for each recipe, these are fantastic. No matter what you have around your house, you will have the ingredients to make one or several of these muffins. I've tried about a dozen so far and they've all been good. Favourites include the blueberry oatmeal, the kumquat muffins, and the simply stunning pear and honey muffins.Great for snacks, breakfast or even dessert, Ms Saulsbury's recipes are creative, easy to make and very tasty. Just remember to cut out half the sugar or more -- the muffins will come out tasting just fine (you might not even notice the difference because the original recipe calls for so much) and you'll have a much tastier treat to enjoy.

Has become the main cookbook for our family
Update: April 2015. Making a new recipe every week and still haven't found one we didn't like. We've tried at least 30.We've owned this book for about 6 months now. I have used 10-15 different recipes thus far and we have loved every single one. Every muffin we've made has been unique, moist and delicious.I do find that the recipes tend to make more than she says. Her recipe is usually for 12 muffins but I find that I fill my 12-muffin pan and can do 1-2 giant muffin(s) extra (using individual silicone muffin cups).She also explains various aspects of her staple ingredients at the beginning of the book - which I have found helpful. Why she uses certain flours when, how to replace certain things, etc.

Great muffin book
I bought this book last week after being dissatisfied with grocery store muffin mixes. I wanted to start making them on my own, and I came across this book and figured I'd give it a try. I love it! It's easy to follow and there are so many recipes to choose from. The Chai Spice Muffin was my first recipe to make. Delicious! From there it was on to the Basic Corn Muffin. Again... delicious! I've flipped through every page of this book and have it covered with post-it stickies for all the recipes I can't wait to get to next. There are varieties that I never would have imagined, and I intend to make a lot of them.I realize I'm rating this book a 5 after trying only two of the recipes in it, however, I've read it from cover to cover and have faith that it will live up to this rating.
