Excellent - Noticed the difference immediately
I was recently diagnosed with a bulging disc and L5/S1 which left me in severe pain, resulting in me requiring a lumbar epidural,... i am now on a course of physical therapy but wanted to limited any chance of abbreviating the injury while going about my day to day business.,... this with other purchases of a cushion and backrest for my office seat helps keeps my posture in check. The product seems very robust, is easy to take on and off and is comfortable to be worn for long periods. I was worried about fit as i am not the slimiest of guys (18st, with 40 inch waist) and went for the L/XL , and this got around my ample middle and i reckon could accommodate people with a couple more inches. So far i am totally satisfied with my purchase and is well worth the cost.

Works for me.
Trouser/jeans waist size 38/40" (maybe 36/38" in Levi jeans). Chest size always XL or 2XL for t shirts from M&S. BraceUp size XXL seems about right for me. I'd say if anything it is on the big size and I'd guess this size would work for folks bigger than me. The range of wast size that each size of BraceUp covers is probably quite large i.e I could see this XXL fitting guys a size down from me but also much bigger guys too.How loose/tight you need to wear it is an individual thing and you get better at guessing what you need after a few go's at it.I got this to help me get round the golf course, and the difference was quite marked. I put it on over a very thin fitness shirt, and then put my golf shirt/bigger t shirt over it. I wouldn't fancy it next to my skin, a bit prickly material I reckon. I do all this in the car park and arrive on the 1st tee already kitted out. It is noticeable under my golf shirt, but so what. Saying that it is not hugely thick and no-one has mentioned it unless I have first. The biggest difference it makes for me is in the rotation of the swing. I still have a reduced back swing but the distances haven't tailed off as much as you'd think. I suspect that taking the club about 25-50% as far back as i used to is counter-balanced by an increased chance of being able to hit the sweet spot of the club face each time. Accuracy has improved, distance has dropped only 10-20 yards. Hmm, interesting.I played right through this summer and it hasn't been uncomfortable in the hot weather.Because it's on over a thin shirt, there's a bit of slippage and i just pull it up a bit. Adjustment of tightness is easy, using the 2nd cross straps (one on each side of you. You pull these forward one in each hand and secure them using a strong Velcro patch somewhere across your midriff or wherever you position it. How hard or soft you pull these straps across determines how tight this will be on you, and the amount of support you require.I bought it for when I play golf, and it cost approx. 25 quid. If you are anything like me, this is probably one of the cheaper items you will buy to help improve/maintain your performance, and it really is money well spent.

WOW!
I have had a back problem like so many others for years. And has I get older its getting worse. I have resisted using any form of artificial support to prop me up and keep me upright until now, but have got to the stage were I need something to help. Looking through the hundreds of different types and prices of back braces, I came upon this one. It was a good price and I didn't want to spend to much for starters if it had no benefit to me or compounded my problem. I Liked the idea of the 2 straps one each side which you pull in after the belt is fitted around your waist. First time I tried it was a WOW! moment, I could instantly feel the support around my lower spine, its brilliant! I don't leave it on all the time, only when I need it and the pain is bad, but if it helps my years of back pain and gives me a little more confidence in walking, which it does, then that's OK by me and the world. Well made and nice soft fabric and also not to noticeable under clothing. Worth every penny, well to me anyway.

Good Support Belt
This is the third belt of this type that I have purchased. The first two (both different manufacturers) failed due to the velcro, the first after about a year but the second after only two or three months. I bought this one as it looked as if the velcro was study and well made, and it certainly is. I use mine to give extra support when exercising or just because my back is extra sore. It gives good support. My only slight reservation on comfort is that the front of the belt is as wide as the back. This makes sitting or bending slightly uncomfortable, however I have grown used to this and I recommend this belt. Only time will tell on it's longevity.

Well made product but not effective
The product itself was fine - adjustable , good straps but I felt for me that it did not add as much support as I expected. Did little to alleviate any kind of pain but did provide some reassurance. Delivered on time in perfect condition and looked as described.

Early days but encouraging
Being 6’5”, an ex-opening bowler at cricket and footballer, back problems have been with me most of my adult life. Nearing my 70th year now, of late I have been suffering for many months with my usual resolutions not getting to the problem. This is my first back support and have only had it for a few days but there does appear to be good support and relief. I’m not expecting this to completely put my back right but to contribute towards being pain free soon. It is comfortable and provides warmth so I’m pleased with this and would recommend.
