Great gadget, works a treat,
Make sure the unit and probes are fully charged, the instructions suggest you don't need a full charge but one of the probes dropped connection although still recorded temperature, though not full function. Next day I put on charge again to make sure it was fully charged, the probe is now staying connected on this cook with full function. If the probe isn't connected it will work to a degree but you won't get the estimated cook times or time to take out to rest up to required temperature which is what I bought it for. The other thing worth noting is both probes cannot be on the same programme and give you full functions, one will the other won't. So my dream of cooking two steaks perfectly for two different needs, one well done one medium requires a little more thought than expected. Our chicken cook was great, really pleased, having the extra temperature measuring along the probe really works. The charger unit looks robust, neat and not at all fiddly to use or store. All in all a big step up from the wire probe offer I have been using for a number of years very glad I invested.

Brilliant
I chose this particular wireless thermometer probe for a couple of reasons - it works over both WiFi and Bluetooth, and it’s completely waterproof. It also has 3 thermometer sensors for inside the meat, and an ambient temperature sensor in the probe handle that tells you how hot the oven or surrounding air is. The probe is narrow, and inserts into the meat or fish easily - just push it into the thickest part. Because it works over WiFi, you don’t need to be anywhere near it to see the temperature info on your phone - you can be anywhere else in the world, as long as you have a WiFi connection. I was able to see that my milk was at optimum temperature on my phone while I was at the shops, and switch the pot off from there, using the smart plug it’s connected to. Because it’s waterproof, you can use it for much more than just cooking meat - my main reason for buying it was actually to measure the temperature of milk during the process of it fermenting and becoming yoghurt - it needs to stay within a small range of temperatures to allow the bacteria to grow and turn the milk into yoghurt, and this probe allows me to monitor it continually to ensure it does. It’s also rather a long winded process at around 10 hours or more each time, and this probe’s battery easily lasts the distance. It means I don’t have to physically keep going to my Instant Pot and checking the temperature manually, I just have to look at my phone - way easier. So, as well as being great for cooking meat, it’s great for measuring the temperature of liquids too - many similar wireless probes are just water resistant and unsuitable for measuring liquids in this way. This is a major win for this probe, and puts it ahead of much of the competition. The app that comes with it is fantastic, having lots of settings to ensure your meat and fish are cooked to perfection every time, and the hub even has voice reminders that tell you when it’s time to do certain actions - like remove the food from the heat, for example. So far I’ve cooked steak, chicken, salmon and milk/yoghurt using the probe, all have turned out excellent. I’m very impressed with the probe, and now wish I’d bought one years ago instead of the hassle of a manual thermometer or meat probe. A very easy two thumbs up, highly recommended 👍🏼👍🏼

Smart Meat Thermometer
Used the item twice now and the steak and the chicken thighs cooked perfectly. Not sure that all the functions of the app are really necessary as all you really need to know is the internal temp of the meat. As long as you know what target temperature you are looking for then that is enough After saying all that, it is very intuitive and talks you through the cooking process, how longs left, when to turn the food over and when to stop cooking and allow to rest. I would like to be able to change the voice to an English accent instead of a strong American one but its not the end of the world

Awesome
What a fantastic piece of kit, have used it a few times and with the help from the great App it has cooked my joints to perfection. Easy to set up, easy to use and works extremely well. Does everything you expect and would want from a wireless temperature probe. Pros: small probe accurate temperature reading connects to WiFi as well as Bluetooth can add more probes to base station if required App has all the information you need, from setting up to cooking can set the temperature to centigrade or fahrenheit via the app a little while after you start your cooking it calculates remaining time left to the end and many many more. Cons: adding meat weight to the App is in lbs, can't find a way to change it to grams. I would highly recommend this Meat Thermometer

Probably ok if yours works.
I know that others have given this great reviews and it looks like a great product and well made. Disappointingly it just didn't work. Once I managed to get Bluetooth connected it kept taking me to a page telling me Bluetooth wasn't connected even tried factory reset several times but always with the same result. Life's too short for this carry on, especially when you are just starting the Christmas day dinner. Great idea but way to complicated for a simple item.

Absolutely amazing, delicious meats cooked
Bought as a Christmas present for husband and wow we cooked chicken, beef, lamb - every time meat came out juice and spot on! It’s pricey but oh boy it’s worth it for a nice piece of meat. We both love it! It also adjusts the time as it cooks as some ovens cook it faster. Definitely buy it!

I've been using these for a while and find it difficult not to overcook meat. I now set it for rare and take it out straight away to rest and I would consider it medium, so that is ok. In smaller or awkward shaped pieces of meat, it tells me to insert the probe further in, which is not always possible. I have overcooked a lot of meat using this probe which is frustrating.

Coming from a Weber iGrill that had some wired probes that died over time I decided I was going to go wireless. I watched YouTube review videos, read through other products' amazon reviews, read through Reddit and came to a few conclusions that ultimately pointed me towards the Chef iQ wireless thermometer. In my quest I looked at Meater+/Meater Block, TempSpike, MeatStick, and Yummly. At first I was pretty confident that the Meater option would be what I'd buy. The Amazon reviews are glowing, and so are the social media reviews (mostly). Once I got on Reddit there was a recurring theme where the product works great for 30 days and then after that- the accuracy drifts by as much as 10 degrees. In addition, it relies upon AA batteries for Meater+ which is a negative for me, but the block does have a usb option. So, I started to look at the TempSpike which was all usb-rechargeable but didn't offer up WiFi, and the usb charging port was micro-usb. Since I'm mostly on usb-c these days, I really wanted to keep it in the right direction. The TempSpike however did have really accurate readings unlike Meater. Since MeatStick and Yummly kind of fall in the same category when you compare them in size, I started my focus on Chef iQ. Here is what I like, it's a lot smaller than the competition- which means it's more suitable for thinner cuts like fish. It is also waterproof and dishwasher safe (though I will always hand-wash them), none of the competitors have this. The manufacture claims it's deep fryer safe too, which is kind of cool if I ever have the need. The app is super intuitive, and for someone who has cooked for nearly 30 years, it's kind of overkill but would allow almost anyone to get excellent results. One gripe I have on the app is that it doesn't have the ability to show the graph view that appears at the end of the cook, during the cook; I liked that feature on my Weber iGrill. The thermometer works with 3 probes, or at least stores 3. I haven't been able to find Probe #3 in stock- but I desire to purchase one. I'm not sure if you can add probes beyond 3? I wouldn't use >3 often, but it would be nice if it does. Since owning it, I've only had the chance to use it twice and both times I was extremely impressed. If anything should change I'll come back and update/edit this review.

This works great and Thanksgiving turkey was perfect. The "ambient" temperature feature is consistently low by about 50-100 degrees. i don't care about that but, that may be important to some. The app is nice and easy to use. I bought the single probe and then bought an second probe. I wish I had bought the two probe model up front as the second probe has no place in the charging tray and to charge both probes, you have to charge one then swap it for the second. Not a huge deal just inconvenient. The unit and probes do charge really fast. When I plan a "cook" I just charge them earlier in the day. I recommend this product.
