How to clean between day to day use and month to month?

You will want to make sure to sanitize your disc before first use and before or after each period. One method for doing this is to boil your disc for 4-5 minutes (use tongs or a whisk to keep the disc from touching the bottom of the pot). An alternative to boiling is to thoroughly wipe the disc with 70% isopropyl alcohol on a soft cloth and allow the alcohol to evaporate. During your period, you can clean your disc by first rinsing it with cold water (to prevent stains/odors) and then washing it using hot water and Saalt Wash or another mild, pH-balanced soap that is fragrance-free, oil-free, and rinses clean with no residue.
