An exceptionally good read
This is a really entertaining book for many reasons – and I couldn’t put it down. It isn’t just about the public persona of Eubank as a showman it gives some insight as to what he actually thinks and why. He really has something to say, and the way this is expressed is very articulate – and at times really funny (loved his rant on the value of confectionary). It is impressive the way he has dealt with a rough start and has developed his own principles and point of view. I was not a fan in the day – but now I have a real respect for the man. I highly recommend this book, and not just for boxing fans.

Love him or hate him this book will show you ...
A very thoughtful and interesting book. I've read a few boxing autobiographies (Hatton, De La Hoya, Tapia) and this one is clearly unique. I'd say its one of the better boxing autobiographies.Love him or hate him this book will show you the real Chris Eubank. I'd always thought that his persona was merely an act or a form of attention seeking, and that he was just trying to be something he was not. Now I realise that is not the case (or not entirely). After reading this book I have increased respect for Eubank, he may not be the true genius or have achieved the level of greatness he'd clearly like but, actually he has a fair degree of wisdom and is definitely a man with principles, conviction and integrity. This book offers far more than just a run down of his life story. And it refreshing that for a man with such an egotistical image he is actually very humble about his achievements especially being honest about how close many of his fights were and how hard the victories were.I'm sure to some degree he may have some form of OCD of even a mild psychological condition, but this may have been what enabled him to succeed by applying his obsessively high standards to his fight preparations.

A look inside the mind and making of a most unusual man
I love Chris Eubank because he is a one off and totally his own man. This was a good read and gives an insight into some of the possible reasons, and explanations, for many of his famous eccentricities.

loved it and would highly recommend it.
Chris Eubank was a world champion at both middleweight and super middleweight and was also a hairline away from becoming world cruiserweight champion - after he fought Carl Thompson in two epic fights. He describes in great detail his most significant fights such as those with Nigel Benn and Michael Watson and what it takes to be a fighter both physically and mentally - which is lacking from many of the boxing books I have read. A lot of people thought he was arrogant at the time because of his showmanship and ring confidence but when you read the book you'll see a different side to him and come to respect him as a good person. I'm a fan of both men but you cant mention Eubank without mentioning Nigel Benn and although I would recommend Benn's book, Eubanks is far superior in that it has more depth to it. I have read a lot of boxing books but this is very unique as was Eubanks character. Chris Eubank to many including myself, is British Boxing royalty who will go down in history as one of the biggest characters in boxing. Characters like this are very rare these days and is what boxing needs.
