Best grill at this price period!
Excellent customer service and Excellent grill! First customer service: Had an issue with mine during shipping, reached out to the company and they addressed the issue swiftly and added a smoker box to the order for free. Monument Grills definitely stands behind the quality of their products, and warranty. Monument Grills for life! Now the grill: durable, fires right up, cooks even, food taste great, and you don't realize how much you want the window in the hood til you have one. Only complaint is you can't hang your monument grill utensils on the given pegs, you will need to get some magnetic hooks. Overall This is by far the best grill at this price point period.

Good overall
Good overall. As follows: — PROS: • Cannot beat it for the price. • Cooks excellently. • Plenty of power. This thing can get up to 700+ °F in a jiffy, no problem. Good for cooking and also for cleaning by burning off. • Burners and innards seem safe, well-designed, and well-QCd, which is a sine qua non. • Design is mostly very good. — CONS: • Assembly is straightforward ENOUGH, but lower your expectations going in — if you are a typical end-user in a residential environment, plan on taking 2 hours or more to assemble it. If you don't expect quicker, then you won't be disappointed. The instruction booklet is a 75-page novel, but at least only the first 25 pages are for English-language users. • The amount of cardboard in the packaging is epic and reasonable. (After all, they need to protect the thing adequately in transit, so you don't return it for damage.) On the other hand, the amount of STYROFOAM in the packaging is gargantuan and probably inexcusable. Plan on filling your ENTIRE recycling bin with cardboard, and plan on filling a GIANT contractor-grade heavy-duty trash bag with broken-up STYROFOAM to send to the landfill, and vacuuming up scores of little staticky styrofoam nuggets. Hopefully the manufacturer will switch to molded paper/cardboard instead, in future. Personally I would pay another 10 or 20 bucks on the product if it could mean eliminating the MOUNTAIN of styrofoam from the packaging. But I guess a lot of other customers are more psychopathic than that, so who knows whether it will change. • The top half (the grill proper) is well designed and feels premium. The bottom half (cabinet/stand) is *adequately* designed and feels chintzy — viable, but minimum-viable. • The caster wheels are tiny silly indoor-grade units misplaced on an outdoor product. Maybe I will swap them out so I can actually put my grill (an outdoor object) on the grass without them sinking into the ground. • The cabinet is backless, which is the stupidest design flaw that I have detected so far; but it might be true that many of the competing products are also backless, I don't know. A backless cabinet is moronic because a grill is an outdoor object that is going to sit in your backyard at night, and the drippings pan is just sitting there in the wide open for any possums, racoons, skunks, or black bears that might happen to smell it and decide to mess with it. And maybe chew on the rubber propane hose too, while they're in there anyway. Having little doors on the front of the cabinet is laughably pointless and irrational when the back is wide open. I have some old sheet metal shelving that I'll be propping against the back with a sandbag, so at least I can TRY to keep the night critters out of the meat-juice-scented cabinet. The cabinet was clearly designed for cheapness and for false-front appearances as judged by indoorsy-only, not-very-bright customers. Oh well. Must keep in mind that if the cabinet was premium then the upfront price of the overall product would easily be 30% higher or more. — Overall I cannot complain, because (1) you get what you pay for in life, (2) the grill seems safe and effective, and (3) the competing products in the same price bracket are probably not better. Go for it.

A great grill at a good price
i ordered this grill after my 20 year-old Weber Genesis finally gave up the ghost. I live in New England and I do not grill year-round, so I did not want to drop $1700 on a new Weber. I looked at several of the grills on Amazon and all of the Monument grills had good reviews, so I gave it a shot. I ordered it on Thursday and it showed up on Saturday (two days ahead of when Amazon said it would arrive), so that was good. It comes in a very large box (about 4' x 3' x 2') and all of the parts and pieces were well-packed. In fact, it took about 20 minutes to unpack everything, lol. After unpacking everything, I looked through the manual and got an idea about how to put it together. The manual is okay and it took me about 5 hours to put the grill together from start to finish. Others have said that it took them about an hour to put it together- they must have had a NASCAR pit crew working for them. lol A couple of tips I would recommend would be to use a power screwdriver; I used the Philips head bit on my Black and Decker cordless drill. This grill requires screwing a lot of large and small screws, so a cordless drill is a must. Also, if you have a headlamp, use that as well, since it illuminates the different parts of the grill that you are trying to assemble. Finally, do not discard the box after opening. If you do not have a designated workbench or table, the box serves as a great substitute. I did not want to be bending over all the time trying to screw in all the screws they give you. Once I was halfway done, I put the grill on the floor and then flipped the box on its side and used it as a place to keep the clear plastic container that held all the screws, etc. When it was finished, I rolled it outside on my deck, connected the propane tank, and gave it a test run. I made some burgers for my son and I. They turned out well. There is a thermometer in the front of the grill that tells the temperature inside the grill for that just-right cooking level. Admittedly, this grill is not as solid as my old Weber (it's made of very thin stainless steel, so be careful when you are driving those screws in), but it is is about 1/5th the price, so you get what you pay for. It worked for what I needed it to do, so I am a happy customer. I am looking forward to more delicious meals on my new Monument gas grill.

QUALITY LIKE A HAVE NOT SEEN IN A LONG TIME.
We have this grill at our winter home in Florida. When we are not here, AB&B renters give it a workout. Over the past 20 years I go thru a grill every 2-3 years. Same with the patio furniture. I have owned many models of Char-Broil but recently they have made the steel very thin and the units are junk. For a low end price, this grill is impressive. The carton packing was amazing, every piece was plastic wrapped and Styrofoam to hold the grill tight in the box. The assembly instructions were clear with diagrams, as if they were prepared in the USA, maybe they were? THERE ARE ONLY 23 SCREWS to assemble because most are already in the frame, just back them out, add the panel and retighten. In one hour, my wife and I assembled this gem, it was like all the manufacturing drawings were done in 3D (solid works), and cut on a CNC, everything lined up, what a different experience! They even gave us some extra hardware. Nice big roll around/lockable casters on bottom. Very heavy gauge stainless steel where it counts, a slide out grease tray and catch cup. Very large Stainless Steel burners with an 8 year warranty (unheard of). See through glass window in the lid, with large thermometer. The only suggestion that would help with assembly A LITTLE, is to put A,B,C stickers on the pieces, that would help, but you can just follow the assembly diagram. So, you get it, I love this grill. Will review again in 1 year and tell you how it does in Florida humidity.

Great product for the $
I live in metro ATL and this is a locally owned company, so buying from your home state and the USA is always a good thing. I typically grill 2-3 nights a week and generally use 1 burner. I can get the grill to 400 degrees on high using 1 burner. I mostly buy grills in the $400 range and am typically replacing parts by years 2 or 3. This product offers more stainless steel than any other grill I've owned. The glass window and LED lighting is a nice upgrade for this price point. I read where someone talked about how flimsy the cabinet was, and while it's not heavy gauge material, it is coated metal and comes with gussets in the corners for bracing, so I have no concerns there. The burners and ignitors are good quality material and thick. There is a ceramic igniter on every gas rail which means easy lighting. Mine cooks evenly however the gas holes don't extend quite as far forward and back as some other grills I've had so these areas will be your not so hot spots. The grill grates are fairly thick and supposed to be non stick. I greased and pre heated mine before use and still get some occasional sticking grilling fish or chicken tenderloins, however olive oil spray eliminates that. Based upon the quality of the parts I've seen, this should last awhile.

Worth It!
Took a long time deciding what grill to buy my husband for his birthday. Despite some mixed reviews, I went with my gut. I have been nothing but impressed with this bad boy. Gets up to temp quick, and very nice that you can see inside! Makes duck, deer, Elk and beef beautifully medium rare and evenly cooked. Exactly what I was looking for. Bought the real grate package and have the OG ones as extra. Don't waste $500 more one some leading brand one. My husband put this together in a couple hours and said it was simple, to the point and easy. Coated the interior in tallow and let it burn on low/medium a hour to get it all broken in and chemicals cooked off. Grills like a dream. Time will tell to see how it holds up, have been keeping it in our garage when not in use.

I didn't want to do it but...
I will rarely every write a negative review unless it's so egregious that I can't ignore it. After hours of researching and overthinking on this purchase I decided on this Monument grill. Paid $50 for a handyman to put it together for me. Once assembled I thought it was beautiful. First I couldn't help but notice the EXTREMELY flimsy paper thin sheets of steel for the rest station, side burner and propane tank doors. The hood is nice and heavy and I thought the blue lights on the dials was a nice touch, so I thought cool. When we went to connect the regulator to the propane tank there was a leak. I contacted the seller, they responded immediately with questions on how to fix this. After a few interactions they decided they'd ship a new regulator and left me know when it would ship and would provide me with a tracking number. After a WEEK they still had not provided me with a tracking number. So I contact Amazon customer service. They reached out to the seller on my behalf and miraculously I am overnighted the part. Cool. I have part replaced and it works fine. I grilled twice while waiting for a grill cover I ordered from Amazon to arrive. While I am waiting for my cover, I go outside one day to discover there are small marks ALL OVER the surface of the grill. I said to myself is that RUST????? I rub my finger on a spot and sure enough this grill has rusted! The grill is stored inside a sunroom on a patio, Water has never touched it. I am shocked!! I have had this grill barely 3 weeks and it's already rusted. I immediately tried cleaning it and these rust spots would not come out even with a scrub brush! I am SOOOOOO disappointed. I contacted the seller and their answer was to replace the rusted parts! What??? The parts needing replacement would be the equivalent of replacing the entire grill duh! I can not with good conscience recommend this grill. It WILL rust on you QUICK! I demanded a refund.
