Only a few 5 star reviews - but this product is nice
I get it, there are manufacturer issues with every product - some don't work, some 'blow up' when plugged in, some fail after a few months of use - but I've had mine for 3 days (so take that into account) - and it's working fine. I use the River 3 Plus as a backup for my internet and TV / DVD player / firestick + one light. I checked the wattage on all devices, 113W. I wanted a backup for power outages for about 2 hours. The River 3 Plue is perfect. I have charged the River 3 Plus, plugged in all power cores - about 7 of them, and powered on. Then I unplugged the R3+ and there was no glitch - all worked fine. I was pleased. The iPhone software takes a bit to understand but a nice interface. I have no issues as long as it keeps performing as it does now. I plan to discharge the battery to 40% every few months. Then charge to 90%. It's a nice unit.update: Both my River 3+ would shut down intermittently. The AC would power off. The factory stepped up, sent me shipping labels and replaced both units - it took a few weeks but they were in constant contact with me during the process. Honestly an A+ for communication. My new units are about a month old with no issues. Yes, a slight smell when new and charging and discharging but it went away soon after a few cycles. These are quality units. Don't expect these to run your refrigerator or something that pulls 400W - and while it may for a few minutes, it will not power it very long. Consider your use, and if you are using these to power 150W or less, it's perfect. Need more power, buy an extended battery or a larger unit. Mine are working great.

UPS, Solar input, Good capacity
I’ve been using the EF ECOFLOW Portable Power Station RIVER 3 Plus for a variety of purposes, and it’s become an indispensable part of my daily routine. From phone charging to router and security camera backup, and even pairing it with both the 45W solar panel that came with it and the Renogy 200W Shadowflux panel, this setup has been reliable, efficient, and incredibly easy to use.Phone Charging StationAs my primary phone charging station, the RIVER 3 Plus is perfect for keeping my devices powered throughout the day. It features USB-A, USB-C, and even a 1200W AC outlet, allowing me to charge my phone, tablet, and other devices simultaneously. The 286Wh LiFePO4 battery provides ample power, so I can charge my phone multiple times a day without worrying about running out of juice. The compact design makes it easy to move around, and the fast charging ensures my devices are ready to go quickly when I need them.UPS for RouterAnother key use for the RIVER 3 Plus is as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for my router. When the power goes out, the RIVER 3 Plus seamlessly switches over to backup power with its <10 ms UPS functionality, ensuring that my internet connection stays live without interruption. This has been a huge benefit during storms or brief outages, keeping my devices connected and my work unaffected. I never have to worry about losing access to the internet or having to reset my router after a power flicker.UPS for Security CamerasThe RIVER 3 Plus also serves as a backup power source for my security cameras. As a part of my home security system, it’s critical to ensure my cameras remain powered during power outages. The RIVER 3 Plus keeps them running reliably, providing peace of mind that my home is always monitored, even during blackouts. Whether I’m away or at home, knowing my security system is continuously backed up by the RIVER 3 Plus gives me confidence that my property is protected 24/7.Solar Charging with the 45W and Renogy 200W PanelsThe RIVER 3 Plus is fantastic on its own, but pairing it with the solar charging options makes it even more versatile. The 45W solar panel that comes with the unit is great for topping off the battery during sunny days. It’s portable and easy to use, just plug it in, set it up, and let it recharge the power station as I go about my day. It’s perfect for short trips or keeping the battery topped up for light use.For longer-term off-grid use or more robust charging, the Renogy 200W Shadowflux panel is a game-changer. It’s highly efficient, especially for partial shade conditions, and charges the RIVER 3 Plus much faster than the 45W panel. With the Renogy 200W panel, I can keep the RIVER 3 Plus powered up for extended periods, making it ideal for longer camping trips or situations where I need a steady, reliable source of power away from grid electricity.Quiet Operation and Ease of UseOne of the best features of the RIVER 3 Plus is its quiet operation—<30 dB, making it ideal for both home and outdoor use. I love that I can charge my devices or power my router and security cameras without any intrusive noise. The system is also incredibly user-friendly. Setting up the power station, connecting the solar panels, and switching between charging options is simple and intuitive.ConclusionThe EF ECOFLOW RIVER 3 Plus has been a fantastic addition to my home and outdoor setup. As a phone charging station, router UPS, and security camera backup, it provides reliable power when I need it most. The solar charging options—both the 45W panel and the Renogy 200W Shadowflux panel—give me the flexibility to keep everything powered sustainably and efficiently, whether I’m at home or on the go. The RIVER 3 Plus is truly an all-in-one solution for backup power and off-grid energy, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet, portable, and efficient power source.

Small but mighty and efficient
This power station has an efficient 600w inverter, 286Wh battery capacity and a very respectable 220w mppt charge controller to charge from solar (11-55v VOC ). It can also charge from AC at 374w (tested ) or higher if connected to expansion battery . It does support pass through charging as well. It has 2 regular usb A and one 100w usb-C output . 3 regular 120v AC outputs . It also has a feature were the power station powers the inverter ON by itself after its depleted and charged back to above 5%. This small power station can also be expanded to over 800Wh capacity with an expansion battery which is unheard of at this size and price point .The features I feel like should be improved are as fellows .1] it could use more USB-C outputs preferably 140w ones instead2]while using the DC outputs it makes a loud clicking sound when you plug or unplug your device .3] I wish this power station supports bidirectional USB-COverall this is a good starter power station for someone who needs something small to run your wifi router using this as an a UPS .
