I bought this hat mainly to wear on holidays in the sun. I'm very pleased with how well it works. The brim is flexible, so when you sit back on a sunbed, it bends. The brim is a perfect size, keeps the sun out of my eyes and protects my face. It packed easily into my suitcase. I would definitely recommend it.

I'm getting accustomed to wearing hats to prevent sun exposure in my dotage, and this one is light, easy to wear and does the job. It has an elastic cord which can be adjusted a bit to fit, but the pocket isn't really made very well and so the band on the inside of the hat shows. It's a fine hat for gardening but I won't be wearing it to church.

Sun protection

Bit big for my 6 7/8 in head. Had no rain to test water resistance.

Lightweight, breathable, and quick-drying, this hat is great for keeping the sun off head and neck while outdoors. Also, it comes in fun colors.

I catch the sun quite easily and needed to replace my existing hat which has just done its' time. I wanted a breathable hat as I kept finding with my old one that I was taking it off ever 5 minutes as my head was hot. Got this yesterday and tried it out today; 6 miles of walking in the sun. It was very comfortable that I almost forgot I'd put it on and the 'venting' at the top kept my head cool, which is exactly what I wanted. My head size is 60.5cm and this fitted well, not tight but when I thought ' is this fitting alright', I could feel it, but when walking and talking to mates, didn't feel a thing and it didn't budge an inch even when the wind blew and I didn't use the chin string. Very good item.

Loved the hat which fitted well. The only downside (and why only 4 stars) is the way that it arrived . It was folded in half then half again, so that brim now has creased ridges that won't flatten out straight. It's fine for the garden/allotment but not something I would want to wear out.

I was influenced by the 5* reviews. I can't think they are objective. I did see the 1* reviews, but they were unhelpful so I ignored them. However, this is a cheap hat. Flimsy, and plastic. Do not think you are getting something that will feel cool and pleasant. It is a touch above bin-bag plastic, but not much. Sure, it will keep the sun off, but I imagine you will sweat. I got a Craghoppers bucket hat instead, which in the sale, was only about £4 more. Much much better.

I am not a hat person. I bought this to wear to baseball and soccer games. I have worn it gardening. Still not a hat person but will try to wear when walking next summer. Nice brim, covers the face well.

Je cherche un bob/chapeau avec un cordon qui changeait. La c'est le cas.Je suis juste decue car sur la photo on voit la marque qui est inscrite sur le chapeau la il n'y est pas. C'est pour ça qu'il n'y a pas le max d'étoile
