First, the packaging leaves something to be desired - it comes in a zip lock baggie, inside another zip lock package and could easily be confused with another type of white powder, if you know what I mean. A scoop is provided, but it would be a lot less messy if the powder was in a container of some sort that could be easily scooped from. As it is, I'm nerve-wracked that I might spill the contents of the bag all over.I've used this as both a mask and an exfoliator. As a mask, the paste dries very quickly on my skin. The first time I mixed it with water, and the second time I mixed it with a hydraulic acid serum - it didn't seem to make a difference. Both times it dried in just a few minutes, felt similar on my skin and it does has a very drying affect. I have relatively dry to combination skin, and really have to heavily moisturize after using this product.As an exfoliant, I mixed it with my regular facial cleanser, which is water based. It is a very gentle, smooth grit. The powder is actually almost as fine as setting powder. It feels good as a gentle exfoliator, and this is how I'll probably use the remaining product. But I didn't see any improvement in my skin's texture, tone or color.

This powder while mixed with water did its job. After removing it from my face, it left a healthy glow, tighten my pores, and my face skin felt breathable! Awesome product. Happy camper! (:

I used this mixed with water as a mask. I learned to use a spray bottle and lightly mist about halfway through the 15-20 minutes or it flakes/dusts off. It seemed to work well on my redness and my pores felt tighter. Overall, I’m happy with the results of this product. I do think I’d prefer if it came in a tub instead of the bag. I found it a bit difficult to get the product out of the bag without making a mess.

The pearl powder is a very fine and smooth powder. I tried it as a mask, mixed with water. It was hard to figure out just how much of each is needed; it doesn't make a paste, but a thin mixture. I did find that it dried quickly and began falling off my face (completely dusting my counter). My skin was noticeably lighter/brighter in color, and felt smooth, but I didn't notice any reduction of redness or dark spots. I plan to use this as an additive in homemade soap.

I am a casual user of facial mask, so it is kind of annoying when using the other bottle masks that I cannot finish the products on time. I am always worried about the bacteria that may be transferred from my skin to the products, which may damage my facial skin. This powder does not have such an issue since I won't actually touch it. By now, I cannot validate the effect of the product because it is too early to tell, but I know that pearl powder is an ancient oriental cosmetic product. Therefore, I will have my faith in it.
