MoonMaid Botanicals Lover’s Lube with 9 Herbs & 3 Spices for Special Occasion...

We like this lube. It’s moisturizing and not oily and absorbs well into the skin. The scent isn’t overwhelming but also isn’t a favorite. We do like that it’s non toxic. The biggest downside is that it’s more like a coconut oil and stay more of a solid than a liquid.

You know that favorite spiced candle you have? This is a wonderful blend of spices, herbs, and oils? This smells like you walked into an aromatherapy shop next door to that cinnamon bun place in the mall. It has an enticing blend which will make you feel like royalty. The consistency is thick, similar to a petroleum jelly. It has several oils in it, like shea butter, extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, and others. Everything in it is certified organic except for the beeswax and the menthol (as a beekeeper, I know that extremely few places in the could possibly be certified organic due to the foraging range of bees). You get a perfect mix of sweet and savory.As a lubricant, this works nicely. Please note that due to the oils, this will not be safe for use with condoms or many toys - it can break down the materials. This is labeled as being "for intimate skin areas" so I'd probably stay away from internal use, or if you do, test on a small area. What this lacks in versatility, it more than makes up for in the experience.This would make a great addition as a regular skin product too. This would be perfect in an aromatherapy massage session or just unwinding in the tub. It doesn't take much, so the 2oz jar should last a good while.

I’ve relied on Albolene for a personal lubricant due to its long-lasting glide and ease of use. However, I was intrigued by MoonMaid’s Botanicals Lover’s Lube blend of 9 herbs and 3 spices and decided to try it. Unfortunately, this lube did not live up to my expectations. When it arrived in its small 2 oz jar, I noticed a strange scent, an oily consistency, and a broken appearance.Despite its shortcomings, the MoonMaid Botanicals Lover’s Lube stays slick for extended use, which is a plus. However, the oil-based formula presents major drawbacks. It stains sheets, is difficult to wash off, and a residue remains after washing with soap and water. Additionally, the menthol promised a smooth sensation, but I felt no effect at all. The biggest downside, though, is the price. For what this 2 oz jar costs, I could almost buy three 12 oz containers of Albolene, making this product a poor value.Ultimately, I cannot recommend MoonMaid Botanicals Lover’s Lube. While it maintains slickness, its odd scent, messy cleanup, ineffective menthol, and high price tag make it a disappointing purchase. This Lover's Lube Natural Lube for Women | Organic Oil Based Lubrication Alternative with Menthol for Smooth Sensation has a nice smell to it. It works as a lubricant very well but it is messy due to being oiled base. Our sheets were all stained up and needed to clean after using this product. Also the price is a bit steep for such a small jar.

Smells really good and not overpowering. It takes a lot to get comfortably smooth so it's quite expensive for what little you get, but overall, alright.

All this talk of herbs and spices has me wondering… As for the lube though, I can’t say I get the point of all these natural additives. I don’t mind the smell, but also don’t think I need it to smell wonderful. Also, it’s oil based which I’ve always believed increased yeast infection risk if you use this with a partner. It gets the job done as a personal lubricant, but it’s not great, has unnecessary (but nice) ingredients, and is too expensive.

It’s oil based, so it’s a lot thicker than water based, and it lasts a lot longer. It has a herb smell and the ingredients seem healthy and natural. It’s harder to clean up than water based. It’s oily and I’ll need soap to clean it up, but that’s expected.

This is a very unique experience for lube coming in a small glass jar and starting as a thicker almost solid balm before it heats up. It melts to a silky but still fairly thick consistency that seems like it takes a decent amount to get an effective slippery lube feel. The scent is a warm sweet herbal kind of scent. It is woodsy and a little tea like. As listed this does have menthol in it which gives it just a slight cooling effect which is nice as the thickness makes it feel a bit warmer than other lubes. It lasts well without having to apply more and dries feeling well moisturized without being sticky.
