When I travel to Ireland, the first thing I do is stop at Dunne's and buy the giant box of Barry's. It's very good, it's in a teabag (portable!), and I'll have enough left after the trip to keep me in tea for a couple of months.I grew up drinking dreadful American tea made from brown leaves (?) in a bag. Graduated to loose tea, then fancy loose tea. Lovely, but a bit fussy for when you travel and need a cup. But someone handed me a box of Barry's, and it made me happy.Buy this tea. It has a great color, tastes like tea should (not a small thing!), and is never bitter or nasty, even if you screw up and leave the bags in the pot past brewing time.ISE Forest & Garden provides great service at a great price! Barry's tea is hard to get now in the US (at least where I live), so I'm glad they branched out from equipment sales and service into tea supply.

Best tea ever
I mean, this is the best tea ever. Other than Barry's Irish Breakfast which I also love. Don't make me decide between the two.I never liked tea until I visited Ireland as a teenager. Then I became hooked. When I got back to America, I realized that our tea was garbage. I mean no offense - but I can't even smell a bag of Lipton without being utterly confused. It was shocking to me as a young impressionable teenager that Americans would subject themselves in this way to terrible, flavorless tea when there were so many better Irish alternatives. Yes, I realize that there is now lots of fancy-pants American brand tea that is pretty good (or at least decent). But Irish brands are definitely more economical for the frequent tea drinker and their tea bags pack more concentrated flavor. Plus, if you've ever been to Ireland, one whiff and you're back.Note: this tea is best fresh so keep that in mind if you're getting a big box. Airtight or aspirationally airtight container or large plastic ziploc bag will suffice (I use a glass jar on the counter with a hinge - nothing vacuum sealed here).

My Go To Tea
I drink at least 6 cups of tea a day and this is absolutely my go to tea. Naturally sweet taste, strong, but not too strong, a beautiful amber color. In my opinion, the best Irish tea, or simply tea, out there.

There is no substitute
In the US, you will find lots of different teas labeled Irish breakfast or some similar thing. However most Irish people know that the best teas are either Barry's or Lyons depending on their preference. If you are used to a strong tea, there is no substitute. If you are not used to Irish tea, the best way to brew it is to use a teapot. First you want to heat the teapot with boiling water and then reboil the water in the kettle. Pour out the water from the teapot and put in one bag for two cups of water. Pour the boiling water over the teabag immediately before boiling stops. Give it a quick stir and steep for 4-5 minutes. Some people pour out the first drop into the sink because it may be weaker than the rest. Put milk in the bottom of a teacup and pour the tea over the milk. Add sugar to taste.

Excellent tea!
As a regular tea drinker, I have tried mant different brands. Barry's is my favorite daily go to tea. Very satisfying taste - not too strong but the flavor comes through nicely.
