The Buddha Board is fun and is holding up really well. Following the directions of use - the type of brush and not touching it with fingers, etc are important. At first I was pressing harder than needed out of habit with regular brush and paper. Note: If you feel you are not getting a dark line as you 'draw' with the brush provided, move slower. I'm enjoying it practicing brush stroke as well as just for fun. Dries pretty quickly - within less than 3-5 minutes from first picture to second picture.

This is basically a board with gray fabric on top. Having said that, it does show you your brushstrokes/illustrations but they dry/disappear quite quickly.

A great gift for a budding artist -- young or old! I own one and purchased as a gift for my granddaughter.

I bought it for my MIL since she's artistic and I love the one my aunt and uncle bought me. It made her very happy which was needed when going in and out of the hospital. Absolutely a win of a gift. It only needs water to paint and it's really nice to help meditate by painting with what strokes haven't evaporated. I only have the smaller version, but mine helped me work through a lot of emotions during some of my worst times.
