Worked well on my Magnaclean filter seeing as I have mislaid the original spanner and that is why I requested it.I suppose you could use it on large jars and oil filters as well, but I only got it for this purpose and it done the job. It is well constructed and should last, let's hope I don't lose this one.

This is a good straight forward decently made tool - the kind you wish you had bought when you turn up to that job where you just can't undo that magnaflow cover or similar. It isnt designed to tackle covers that have been tightly torqued on or indeed rusted into place, but for screw on covers that are just that bit too toght to undo by hand, this is the business.Construction is utilitarian but good the teeth on both gripping surfaces are rounded but still aggressive enough to get plenty bite. The short handle makes it ideal for working in tight spaces, such as many magnaflows are in; the rubbery grip on the handle is a very welcome addition.I suppose this coupld also be used on oil filters and the like, its working range is 75mm 95mm diameters so should fit smaller oil filters.

Works perfectly for the lid removal it's designed for, but I have also found it useful for car and truck oil filters and large jar lids.

It look durable and fits on everything what gives you a headache and wont get loose.It grips with its teeth very well but the handle could be longer so you have more force.
