A+ Great little blood pressure device
First off: getting a reasonable blood pressure reading on a pet means getting the pet relaxed and calm, keeping it calm and motionless, and repeating the measurement a couple, e.g. three, times. If you can't do that, don't expect any sphygmomanometer to give you an accurate reading. The same is true in humans: motionless for five minutes sitting, feet flat on the floor, no talking, the cuff at the same level as the heart, and having the left arm supported. You need to match the cuff size to the left limb in question. (Yes, it needs to be the left fore limb, and yes, your pet should be lying down, as the goal is to get the cuff at the same height as the pet's heart.) It helps to look up the anatomy of your pet, so you know where the main artery is.We did all that, and it has been very reproducible, and matches the values from our human medical grade cuff.We have found it great for tracking our pet's blood pressure in response to drugs that can raise blood pressure. As far as I can tell, this appears to be well designed, and thought through, device. It is easy to change the cuff size on the device on the menu. The manual cautions not to have the wrong cuff size set.

Very inconsistent results
We did lots of research on how to take cats blood pressure, so we confident we're doing it as good as we can. But this unit does not seem well calibrated to use the small cuff required for cats. It consistently inflates, deflates, re-inflates, deflates, re-inflates, and then fails the measurement. It takes many minutes, and frequently doesn't give any results at all, just an error message. And when it does result in an actual reading, they seem quite erroneous. Multiple readings, one right after another, have wildly different results. Also, it kept saying our cat's pulse was nearly 200 bpm, and we know this wasn't true because we could feel her pulse and it was about half that reading. So, thanks to Amazon, we returned it.

Does the job.
Two things I was concerned with. 1) Yes, it did look like it was used. Probably a returned item, hopefully refurbished. 2) I had to watch several videos online to learn how to take an accurate and safe reading. Once I learned it became easy.Good things: The cuff is the right size for my cat. He's 14lbs. If he were 11lbs or less the cuff would be too big for an accurate reading. My cat has high blood pressure so it's wonderful to take a reading anytime I can sneak the cuff on his tail while he's napping and still half asleep. Saves a ton of money on vet bills. But I still get the vets to read it when we go in.Not perfect, but a solid investment.

Works great for my cat
My cat has hypertension and takes a daily medication for it. I use this to take her bp two or three times a week and log it in a notebook. If she has any acute fluctuations, I can call the vet and give them an idea of what her bp has been so they can assess it. The device also logs the activity history, so I can catch up on entries if I forget to write it in her logbook (it's easier to take a notebook to the vet with her info than the whole machine.) She uses the small cuff and tolerates it well now. I had to sedate her the first few times to get her used to it, but now it's old hat and she gets her blood pressure taken without any problems. It sucks power out of batteries in a matter of a couple days, so I have to keep it plugged into a wall outlet to keep it on, but that's not a problem. My mom uses it monthly to monitor the bp of her dogs, a doxie and a min-pin mix, so having the various cuff sizes is really nice. The large cuff can fit on people if you need to take your own bp, too.

Arrived used, covered in pet hair, packed in random bra bag.
The item otherwise worked as advertised - but it's really low down to send used stuff to people on the pretense that it is a new item, never before used. The bag also contained a USB charging chord to some other unaffiliated device. Nice machine - easy to use. Just upset about it being used.

A lifesaver, literally! Accurate, easy to use!
This is a lifesaver, literally. My kitty has been struggling with difficult to control high blood pressure, due to kidney disease and/or urinary tract infections. Her blood pressure was so high that she become totally blind for 12 hours even with emergency treatment, and recurring high blood pressures have caused her vision to be damaged. Also, her hearing was already gone for years, but with the blood pressure being controlled has come back a little. So I cannot stress enough how important is to monitor blood pressure, especially in older pets! This is a wonderful product, easy to use and accurate, I compared the readings with the ones at the vet. Every vet should encourage the use of this product! Thank you so, so much for marketing it!

Didn’t work - returned
Would not power up with batteries. Did power up with USB, but then did not inflate cuff when asking for reading. They need better quality control. I am sad because I wanted this to work as my vet can’t get a good BP read when dog is in their office - too nervous.

BP seems off
I'm not exactly sure how to rate this product. The SPO2 monitor is great. Read well even on black cats. But the BP aspect seems to always be 30 above using a Doppler or other BP monitor. I'm debating on exchanging it for a different one to see if it's just this machine.
