Handcrafted Premium Navy Blue Silk Pillow Cover with Intricate Mirror Embroidery - Pure Silk Throw Pillow Covers (16" X 16")

I purchased this pillow cover on January 5th. It arrived on January 30th. I had been told ahead of time that it would take some time because they are handmade. What wasn't disclosed is that it would be shipped from India which actually accounted for much of the time between ordering and delivery. As I wasn't in a hurry & was getting a discount off the $84 price, I agreed to the wait without reservation. I just feel the real reason for lengthy delivery time should have been stated up front. The pillow cover was posted in a makeshift pillowcase (as shown in photos) and then wrapped in cardboard, then tissue paper tied with a red ribbon, then a plastic bag.Buyers should be aware you are purchasing only a cover, but that is what I wanted. A recent furniture purchase came with two nice quality pillows but I don't like the cover they came with, so I got this intending to stuff it with one of those pillows. If it met expectations, I planned to get another design from Amore to compliment this one. At this point in time, I do not think I will be ordering another. While the pillow cover looks fine from across the room, I can't say I feel that the craftsmanship is in line with the asking price. It's my opinion that the discounted price I was asked to pay is more appropriate as a selling price.Another issue I have is that the pillow cover smells terrible. I am aware that genuine silk can have an odor, but this smell isn't that silk odor. It is currently hanging out in the garage with the hope that the smell will diminish now that it is out of the plastic bag. If not, it will be placed in the donation box. If your nose is sensitive to aromas, I suggest you might want to keep looking elsewhere. Returning to India would be an expense even if the purchase price was refunded in full. For those that do not have finicky noses, you may like the handmade look enough to appreciate this item more than I do. This review is my own personal opinion and was not influenced by the reduced price. I am always as honest as I can be in my reviews, otherwise they have no credibility.

It does take a long time to arrive, since it is shipped from India - but if you're not in a hurry - it's well worth the wait! This is a beautiful pillow cover and adds a touch of elegance to my foyer. I had another pillow (old and ugly) on my foyer bench and this pillow cover transformed it beautifully. The embroidered mirrors and gold beading are so pretty and added just enough sparkle without being overdone. It is very well made also. There is a zipper in the back to put your pillow in. It is pure silk and the navy blue color is rich and gorgeous. Definitely recommend! I bought this handcrafted silk pillow cover at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

I received this at a discount for my honest review. This is handmade, so it does take time to arrive. But it is better then expected! It is very well made and on the back there is a super opening. It makes it easy to put a pillow inside. The fabric is a rich royal blue color. This would make an amazing gift! You won't be disappointed!
