Detailed & Informative
This is the greatest book on guitar I've used. It stepped up my chops a lot! I'd recommend it.

Impress your parents
Give credit where credit is due. This is a great job of turning classical tunes into a rock and roll style guitar work. I find the choices in songs questionable though. Three of these are great, we'll known and recognizable tunes. The others....not so much. Maybe that's so you have to buy more books, who knows? Gotta maximize profits these days.

Elevate your playing into the realm of the masters!
In "Shredding the Composers..." Herr Schauss brings the power and beauty of Classical and Baroque music to those whose instrument of expression is the electric guitar. Learning these pieces will greatly expand your musical repertoire and certainly lend depth and sophistication to your playing. The rapid-fire style of electric guitar playing known as 'shredding' has actually been around for centuries in the music of J.S. Bach, Paganini, Vivaldi, and many other Baroque and Classical-era composers. In learning the works of these masters, one not only develops extreme proficiency and dexterity on the fretboard, but also acquires a working historical knowledge of the music of those who were considered the 'rock-stars' of their day. Many thanks extended out to Herr Schauss for providing electric guitar players with the excellent transcriptions of these masterworks!

Great addition!
Recently picked this up, well worth the investment. Besides the backing tracks that are extremely valuable, German breaks down the major techniques ahead of each piece, and briefly discusses them. Everything is in tab format, so it doesn't require extensive musical notation training. It's definately for the developed intermediate or advanced level based on technique and speed, however the pieces are still accessible to those not up to that level. This is certainly worth getting if you are interested in guitar interpretations of classical music. German flat out excels in this area.

Sort of Cheap
All of the performances sound kind of cheap. All of the delicacy of classical music has been sapped from these examples. I would recommend the Shredding Bach book out of German Schauss' classical interpretations.

Great Book!
You might be looking at this book now asking yourself if it is worth the money. I can say it definitely is. I've been playing for 15 years and finding accurate versions of these songs for free online is impossible. Random tab websites are never accurate and are often a waste of time so you need a professional like German to walk you through these sometimes complex songs. This book will keep you busy and will inspire you to up your playing. Well worth the money.
