It’s creamy, fragrance-free, and actually leaves my skin feeling clean without that tight, stripped feeling. The niacinamide + ceramides make it feel more hydrating than most face washes, and it hasn’t irritated my sensitive skin. Only downside: it doesn’t remove heavy makeup by itself, so I double-cleanse on those days.

After years of using cleansers that stripped my skin and left my face feeling tight, I wanted to try a cleanser that was gentle and supported my skin barrier. For reference I have fairly sensitive and dry skin and live in a dry climate (Colorado). After trying the La Roche Posay Gentle Cleanser I can attest that it is extremely gentle! It provides minimal cleansing without feeling drying or harsh whatsoever. I was surprised that it didn't lather and it felt like I was rubbing a thick gel around my face. I will say in terms of cleansing power it does do the bare minimum, the formulation feels very basic which can be a pro or con depending on your needs. For me this works well when I double cleanse. I wear makeup and sunscreen, so I oil cleanse first and then use La Roche Posay to remove any residue. I personally don't rely on La Roche Posay to remove anything heavy. But I can see how this simple and gentle formulation is beneficial to anyone who wants to completely avoid irritants. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this to anyone who has really sensitive skin or is trying to repair their skin barrier. It's also a suitable secondary cleanser.

I have used another clean ingredient face wash for a very long time, but recently it started to irritate my skin so I picked this one back up and it helped calm down my face redness. -Updated packaging with more product for cost with an extra plus of it reducing plastic waste from prior bottles These above two are the top reasons I will continue to keep my subscribe and save going. Unless the price starts to go up.

Buying the refill bag and it’s awesome. Works great for my normal skin. Gentle, hydrating, and does not leave my face feeling tight. Cleans well without drying. I like that the refill saves money and reduces waste. Rebuying.
