Ordered to replace 26 year old sun tunnel. Hopefully this one will last just as long!
Ordered this Velux sun tunnel to replace an earlier model that had lasted for 26 years without any leaks or cracks. This one seems just as durable.

My sun tunnels really brighten my bathroom and laundry room where there were no windows. The really “light up my life”. I love them. They are a great value..

Better quality than big box store
This one is the same model as HD but better quality. Flashing is metal as opposed to plastic. Ceiling lens a more finished look too.

I see the light
During my roof install I had roofer cut the hole, I only had 15” from interior ceiling to roof. No crawl space. Make sure you measure exactly how long tube needs to be, I thought I did but had to rig /cut the elbow and slide it over the tube since it was short 1”

Very low quality & weak customer service
This was a truly disappointing experience. The quality was low, and when we returned the item after some time, we were not refunded the full amount. Instead, they deducted nearly $100 from our refund, which was very disappointing.

Short main tube....
Purchased to provide light to dark area in room to support house plants. All in all worked out but was disappointed in the main tube length. Mfg should stress the main tube length as it'll have to go outwards of the roof eve and more towards the soffet / gutters to fit as purchased. Point being, the main tube is short.I can't see this fitting homes with area's / positioning closer to the roof eve....
