This shud of been the sequel to TCWE … a page turner
Page turner. This should of been the sequel to The Coldest Winter Ever. I’m 62. Have a massive collection of books from my fav authors. I didn’t read TCWE until I was in my late 20’s, I had 2 girls. Reading was important, I read to them in my 9th mo up until they cud read to me. they loved books until they didn’t. Coming from a family of readers I got my daughter to read a few books in its entirety. After I read Winter, she was 14 so I asked her to see if she was interested in this. I told her it was 1 of the best books I’ve ever read. And she read it & past it a long to her friends. I couldn’t get into the Midnight books- but this book is more engaging to Winter. My youngest is 24…Winter was 1 of her Xmas presents. She hasn’t read it yet. She has 2 babies, F/T college for her Bachelors BUT she promised to swap FB for Winters Book & I can’t wait til she does. My middle daughter is a Sister Souljah Fan. Who knew? Reading was not her thing. I got this book 1st… she calls me on the daily, anxious to read it. I shud have been finished within a few days but binging Handmaiden & L&O lol - this book really tells u about the beginning. Growing up as a family. And the way they grew up, how the kids home training differs from the average properly trained kid & how life happens & what it does to kids. Not just the Santiaga family but lots of broken families & how Winter, Porsche’s big sister & role model that she idolized was who she always wanted to be like but ……. It’s a good read

The Courage of a Young Girl and the Will to Survive
If you have read any of the previous books by Sister Souljah, you will sincerely enjoy A Deeper Love Inside: The Porsche Santiaga Story, the sequel to The Coldest Winter Ever.At a very young age, tragedy strikes Porsche and her family is completely destroyed by the arrest of her father, Ricky Santiaga, the local hustler, who is loved and adored by the community because of his benevolent ways and beneficial treatment of his associates and community. At a very young age, 10, Porsche had a strong sense of family values and love. She shelters her younger sisters, Lexus and Mercedes, from the harsh reality of a police raid by hiding them in the closet and giving them a sleeping pill which puts them to sleep. This way they were not exposed to the harsh brutality of seeing their home searched and their father under arrest and placed in hand cuffs. At age 11, Porsche goes to juvy and is determined to survive and not become "a victim". She starts a hustle which enables her to achieve social status among the inmates. This hustle lets her become a member of the Diamond Needles. Needless to say, she maintains a strong work ethic which proves invaluable in later life.Porsche has many mind blowing experiences, for example, finding out that her once gorgeous mother is now a crack head living in the street. There are adventures also including escaping from juvy. These adventures will keep you wanting to read more and more. Perhaps you might be up until late at night reading until three in the morning like I was because I couldn't put the book down. There's an element of surprise toward the end of the book which will make you cheer if you have read the previous books by Sister Souljah.Love is also a theme. Love for the family and the predestined love of two young people which blossoms and endures. This book lets you see what happened to the Santiaga family and has been well worth the wait. It is an enjoyable heartwarming reading.

A RARE GEM!!!!!
Porche, I love her so much. All this little girl knew is that she loved her family and family was EVERY THING. She was the total opposite of her sister, WINTER. WINTER was rotten to the core. She didn't care about nobody but herself. She felt no remorse for the terrible things she done to people. She had no conscious. Her loyalty was to herself, which made her everyone's target. People couldn't sympathize with her, because they never knew when she would stab them in the back. PORCHE warmth, made you feel love. You cared about this little girl in this story, because she was determined to get back her family, and she was only ten. She's tried with every breath in her body, to put her broken family pieces back together, something none of the adults in her life had attempted to do. She was blunt, not like a kid who doesn't know any better, just saying what's on their mind, but like a young woman who had no tinme for nonsense. She lived at a place where she had to fight day in and day out. She learned to survive the harsh treatment the system fed her, and was witty enough to beat them at their own game. You think just because a person is dealt a bad life or experience something so tragic,it would destroy them into something weak, barely able to with stand the harsh wind. In the case of PORCHE SANTIAGA, she blossomed into a beautiful red orchad, and was given more than what she could have ever imagined. I love this story. I would want my little girl to read this book. BEAUTIFUL JOB SISTER SOULJAH. EXCELLENT!!!!
