Good Read
I originally read this story as it was released, in five parts. With several weeks between each chapter, I found it difficult to follow. When I reread all five chapters at once, it made a lot more sense. Chapter one seemed very short, and each chapter got longer. The first time I read the final chapter, it didn’t make much sense to me, but this time, I think I liked the chapter the most. Artwork was spectacular.

awesome read!
Wow! It was such a great story set in an exciting era of time with biplanes. Great script and artwork . I highly recommend it!

Great Noir Story
Wonderful, romantic tale of two stunt fliers in the 1920s, running from an unjust and relentless pursuit. Unfolds like a 1940s film noir. The art is perfect for the theme.

A match made in heaven
This collaboration between Scott Snyder an Tula Lotay is tha plain and simple.Snyder inserts a little of his horror sensibility to set tje reader kind of off, but this is an attempt at a period puece romance, and it deliver. This now is in my top five with other projects of Snyder in his amazon comic run1.Clear (with Francis Manapul)2. Canary (with Dan Panosian)3. Night of the Ghoul (with Francesco Fracavilla)4. Barnstormers (with Tula Lotay)5. We have Demons (with Greg Capullo)A recomendation.

Entertaining
A gripping visual yarn with enough twists to satisfy serious thoughtful readers. I loved it. Cool art and a fluid design which parallels the story.

Entertaining, but not quite top-tier Snyder.
Scott Snyder’s latest Comixology-exclusive comic book series, “Barnstormers,” lands squarely in the middle of his output for the digital comics publisher thus far, quality-wise. Neither hitting the high highs of “We Have Demons” or “Night of the Ghoul,” nor quite falling to the lows of something like “Clear,” “Barnstormers” is a solidly entertaining, if somewhat by-the-numbers, take on a type of comic book we don’t see a lot of (at least, not anymore): romance. That it manages to mostly entertain despite some lulls in its pacing is a testament to Snyder’s storytelling prowess, as well as the artwork by Tula Lotay, which is never less than stunning panel for panel. Not a GREAT comic, but for Snyder die-hards – or comic readers looking for something a bit different – “Barnstormers” offers enough to warrant a recommendation.

Good looking art...Meh Story
This book looks great, it captures the feel of Jazz Age quite well and has Bonnie and Clyde, Great Gatsby and damsel in distress moments. But alas the story isn't much...An intriguing start that basically just ends up flat and predictable. This falls well below Scott Snyder's standards. Well they all can't be American Vampire or Court of Owls quality, but aside from the eye candy I would give this a miss.
