The bottle is beautiful and has no taste transfer. And finally a bottle where water doesn’t come in contact with plastic! Bottle came without the protective bumper. Ordered another one and same thing. Love the bottle but my other two came with bumpers, I currently have 4 in total. The company rectified this with a refund so I appreciate the customer service.

I am not sure if these bottles are sold out because they are discontinued, or because they are popular. Either way, I don't usually give reviews but wanted to: Months ago, I decided to finally make the switch from plastic reusable water bottles to stainless steel. After a lot of research, I chose EcoVessel, and have been so happy that I did. Despite one design issue, I still regard these water bottles very highly and am so grateful for them. They're really beautiful. I've had the white, dark green, and dark gray. I primarily chose this brand because, I learned that most stainless steel water bottles still have plastic mouth spouts/plastic touching the water inside. This water bottle has two openings, but I only ever use the wide mouth opening, which is stainless, so I drink from stainless, not silicone. The only other comparable brands, have really uncomfortable metal handles for carrying, and, one was very expensive, because it required a separate purchase for an all-stainless lid (and one of those brands, people said the bottles smells inside…). I've been very happy with both the wide mouth opening and the carrying handle on these water bottles. They are very comfortable to carry. And, they keep water refreshingly cold (or drinks hot), something I didn't have with my former plastic bottles. I have only dropped them a couple of times, but they held up very, very well compared to my past Thermos brand carriers (which dented severely with one drop)—The first drop, no wear at all. The second, only a very, very minor ding on the edge of the small lid, such that you can’t even really see it. No scratches at all on the paint from use, only a couple very small marks this week on the white bottle (none before now), maybe from pen or something; that’s after four months of use. It still looks good. The only drawback, is that the boot on the bottom is very shallow, so it comes off sometimes. I've had three of these bottles; the white one in particular has a boot that is very loose, and still so after I exchanged it for that reason (the second was better, but still comes loose). I've also had the dark green boot come off the bottle. Thankfully, each time they've come off, I've been able to find it and put it back on (including today, but I thankfully found it outside of my car). But that is a problem. I think if the brand logo were put higher up on the bottle, instead of the bottom, then the boot could be made deeper, to stay on better. Even despite that issue, I still love these bottles and still give them a very high rating, so that says a lot. One minor shipping issue: I had to reorder the green one a few times because it arrived scratched. But I did then get one that was great. I do hope this or a very similar bottle will continue to be available in the future, with the same look and stainless interior/lid.

This was at a decent price, and has some nice features, but only 3 stars because of the funny smell and taste the bottle's drinking spout imparts. More on that later. It arrived with a small dent/scratch from shipping, so that was first disappointment. The strainer feature (for infusions / tea) seems like a nice feature, and has a good snug fit, so that is great. Ice cubes stayed cold (but seemed to melt faster than in my Hydroflask, which I left behind on my last trip, so I needed the replacement). The ice cubes in cold water lasted less than an 8 hour workday, because were melted before I finished work. I like the narrow diameter of the bottle, because it does fit into my car's older cupholder, designed for a soda can. However, my main issue with this bottle is the off gassing smell from the rubber in the lid - - the part you actually drink out of has a rubber ring which is imparting a bad smell and taste. I washed it again after the first sip, thinking maybe I didn't thoroughly clean it. Nope, it is still there. If it doesn't go away after a few days, I'll have to downgrade this to two stars, and pay the extra for a new Hydroflask (or see if my extra wide mouth straw lids fit this bottle). Update 8/7/23: the funny smell did mostly dissipate, but I ended up replacing the lid with an Iron Flask flip top straw lid (which fits fine) because I found the double screw top lid design cumbersome. The small lid unscrews for drinking, and that is where there is an extra silicone seal which looks like it will just be a bacteria repository. But several times when I unscrewed it, the lower, larger lid unscrewed as well. Also, I found it annoying because you can't use this bottle one-handed to take a drink while driving (or carrying other gear). So I didn't downgrade the stars, but I would not buy again.

Great thermos with easy to apply strainer. Easy to wash. Keeps beverage cold for a long time. Perfect size and comfortable to carry. No leakage, packaging has a nice tab to remove and clean. Would buy again.
