The Samsung S95D has a great screen, and the matte surface is really helpful for eliminating reflections. While I always close the blinds in our TV room before watching, there's some unavoidable glare, and the matte finish helps with that. Out of the box, though, picture quality was decidedly off. Like many modern smart TVs, the S95D has substantial built in processing, and the so-called "AI" settings over-boost contrast and over-sharpen images. The result is a bit like the unnatural look of daytime soap operas, which usually look wrong because they're shot under harsh lighting. The Samsung's phone app has an auto-calibration feature that works with the TV, but that left the contrast too low, and the picture looked washed out. What worked was keeping the calibrated settings, but going into the Expert settings to enable low-impact contrast boosting. This is in-TV image processing, and isn't the same as simply boosting the contrast setting. This isn't a cure-all for everything. The results look great with most shows, but some shows still have a washed-out look. This is not the TV's fault, it's the source material. *Most* shows look excellent. The S95D has been a very visible step up from the 15 year old plasma TV it replaced. Skin tones are much better, and black areas are a really solid black, thanks to the OLED screen and that matte finish.

I decided to purchase this tv after spending a few months looking though reviews and ratings on the market. The tv is great it’s picture quality is amazing and the features are great. I haven’t had the lag mentioned and my tv wasn’t bent when I received it. I toss that up to bad luck. I mainly use the tv to game and it is beautiful, finally gets the next gen feel of my ps5 and series x. I am very happy with my purchase.

I have never spent this kind of money on a TV in my entire life. And I didn’t think I would. But I watch a lot of TV and decided not to go cheap this time. This TV is amazing. Every positive thing I read about it is true. I live in a house with a huge amount of windows, so reflection has been a problem in the past. Not now. The anti-glare technology is fantastic. Every feature I have played with is great. I was hoping that with the picture on picture or multi view as they call it now would allow me to run two fire sticks at the same time, but it won’t. It will let me run any of its apps at the same time as I run a fire stick. So that’ll have to do. And we can still have a football game on one side of the screen and a movie on the other. My only caution is that these TVs are really thin and fragile so you have to be very careful when you’re moving it or if you put it on something because you might destroy it. One of the reasons I bought from the company I bought from is because they have damage insurance. As long as you are careful setting it up and don’t bump into it very often you’ll be fine. As I said in the beginning I love this TV

I don’t know where to start on this other than this was one of the most regrettable purchases I have ever made. I acquired this TV through a Black Friday sale, on a deal that seemed too good to be true. Once I received the TV, I would say the shipping was swift and reliable. It was packed accordingly and very well protected. However, once I turned the TV on, is when everything went wrong. Within the first couple of hours, the TV was doing hard resets on its own multiple times. The screen would go black, followed by the sound going out a few seconds later, then the OLED logo would appear and bring the picture back to normal. This happened approximately eight times within 24 hours. Noticing something was wrong, I did all the usual troubleshooting that Samsung suggested, which consisted of unplugging and plugging back in, un-synching devices, changing HDMI tickets to higher quality ones, changing surge protectors, making sure software was up to date and WiFi connecting was stable. The TV would be operable for a couple more weeks without issues, and I started experiencing more frequent resets. I contacted Samsung customer services, and they (thankfully) sent a technician to my house to investigate the situation. They discovered within seconds through the backend of the software within the TV that I had a faulty TCON within the system (the motherboard) and showed that the TV had reset itself sixteen times, when it should always be at 0. Upon the assessment, I was told a specific part would need to be ordered, and they’d come back to my place of residence to disassemble the TV and replace the part within 2-3 weeks. Even though it was covered through a technical warranty, the technician informed me there are significant risks in purchasing Samsung products through third parties as sometimes they receive “less than perfect” products to resell, and it’s never guaranteed unless it’s from a major retailer such as Best Buy, Target, etc. Once the technicians left, the TV restarted at least eight more times a day. And eventually after a couple of days, I couldn’t handle it anymore and returned this TV for a refund and rebought the same TV from Best Buy days later, and it’s been significantly better with no issues! Buyer beware!!

The TV is awesome… well engineered… the anti-glare function is amazing, you don’t see any reflection even during the bright daylight… The Deluxe Delivery was disappointing… the delivery staff obviously have not been trained and had absolutely no knowledge of how to open the box… please keep in mind that you need the box as the “infrastructure” to assemble your TV stand…
