The 50A sensors are a fantastic addition to the Emporia Vue 3. Installation was straightforward—the clamps fit right over the wires, and the app detected them immediately without any hassle. Once connected, I could finally see the real-time energy usage of big appliances like my water heater, dryer, and EV charger with impressive accuracy. Having circuit-level data makes a huge difference. It’s easy to spot which appliances are the real power hogs and track exactly how much they’re costing me to run. The app presents the information clearly, and it’s satisfying to check trends over time and adjust habits to save money. These sensors really unlock the full potential of the Vue 3 system and give you insights you just can’t get from a standard utility bill.

Great value, worked as planned

U0pdate: After a few days they finally called back and issue was resolved . I rarely leave reviews, but this experience has been so bad that I feel obligated to warn others. I purchased the Emporia system expecting it to be a reliable way to monitor solar, home energy, and EV charging. Instead, it’s been a constant headache. The installation is already complicated, but once it’s up and running, the app is confusing and the readings often don’t make sense. “Balance” numbers swing wildly and don’t match actual usage, and despite following the manual exactly, it never lines up properly. But the worst part by far is the customer service. I’ve been reaching out for over a week , multiple emails, app chat messages, and phone calls and I’ve received zero response. No acknowledgement, no updates, not even a “we’re working on it.” For a company that sells expensive hardware and claims to provide support, this level of service is absolutely unacceptable. At this point, the product is useless without proper assistance. It feels like they are happy to take your money but disappear the moment you need help. A system like this requires dependable support because it involves your home’s electrical monitoring yet Emporia leaves you stranded. There are plenty of other companies offering home energy monitoring and smart EV charging. I would strongly recommend avoiding Emporia until they prove they can stand behind their product. Right now, it’s nothing but frustration, wasted time, and wasted money. Bottom line: Bad hardware, buggy app, and the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

This was abit overwhelming at first when considering the emporia vue3. I watched tons of youtube videos and review and how to install videos. My approach was... after knuckling down and deciding I was going to do it. I should say if you are not comfortable then get an electrician. I decided I was going to be super careful and do it. I bought just the base unit - not any of the additional sensors.. just to reduce my investment see how it went. I installed the unit (being super careful). following the instructions - I would save Having the "main" lines monitored was very informational - it basically confirmed my suspected thoughts about usage. I wound up only getting the 8 additional because I just needed them on the important more usage items. I found it to be of value and I wish my energy provider would have a smart meter since it would have done the main monitoring for me. I don't have a solar panel or EV charger, I just wanted to save as much money as possible on energy usage. My photos show the electrical panel and how much room there was to install the device

I hooked these up in my panel, and seeing the usage on each circuit is a cool thing. I can measure the daily and monthly usage and see where I can improve energy usage.

Works great! Everything as advertised. Can really drill down on what you use and how much it costs.
