A very efficient price-to-performance ratio
It is functioning well! Very smooth and has a nice feedback when you write. It's half the price of the most pro-gear series, but it has ~75% of its performance; it's just a very efficient price-to-performance ratio.

Wonderful pen - if you are prepared for a truly fine nib
Please know, that Japanese fine nibs are much finer than European ones. Some people say they are scratchy, or like a pin. But they are really tiny works of art: allowing me to write extremely fine but absolutely smoothly flowing lines. I prefer the finer Japanese nibs by far, as they are perfect for my handwriting. If you’re used to a broader nib, it can take a moment to learn how to write with a nib where you have to keep control of the angle, but that rewards you with extremely smooth, delicate lines. I am looking forward to buying my next sailor fountain pen :)

Very poor nib
Loved the look of this pen,but when I came to use it,the nib was the worst quality I have ever used, extremely scratchy almost like trying to write with a pin,Sailor's quality control sadly lacking. Extremely disappointed, returned for refund

Beautiful pen, beautiful nib
Body looks like a galaxy with blue shimmers. Has a steel nib but writes similar to gold sailor nibs. Do note this has a pencil like feedback (that I love) which means it has that ‘scratchy’ feeling. It’s not dry though and doesn’t skip. Nib thickness is F and similar to Kaweco EF. Very beautiful pen. Looks premium.
