Q: Do I need to clean my silver jewelry before I put it in the organizer because I have some very tarnished pieces or does it help remove the tarnish?

I have had my preserve jewelry organizer for over one year. Approximately one week after cleaning some of the sterling silver pieces; they come out just the way I put them in and others are slightly tarnished. If I put some sterling in the organizer without cleaning it, the jewelry comes out the same way I put it in. Noting I have witnessed that new pieces of sterling silver stayed tarnished free verses older pieces of jewelry. If you put tarnished sterling silver in the organizer, the organizer will not clean it for you. Moreover the organizer will only keep your silver in the organizer as you put it in there to begin with. This organizer will not keep your sterling silver tarnished free one hundred percent, but it works better than a jewelry box.

Q: Does the anti-tarnish feature work lomg te? i bought this in another color & the lining is very porous & lets moisture in. silica packets fill fast!

I have used preserve tarnish free jewerly storage for many many years Never a single problem Totally satisfied

Q: Does it come with a hanging hook to hang it in the closet?

No there is one that is larger that has a hook. An absolutely excellent product. I have two. One hangs on my bedroom door and this one is in my linen drawer.

Q: How many sleves are in this organizer?

No I don't think so...but keep in mind the piece in the middle does come out...and there is storage under it. The piece on the left is for rings. I counted for you tonight. It is about 29 slots for like earrings; the place for the rings, which holds quite a bit like 15-ish; about 10 for bracelets or necklaces. The pull-off Velcro piece has three large compartment. About 6x2...and another ring holder for about say 6-ish rings.
