I live in Arizona and have to walk 6 city blocks from a parking garage to my place of employment. I wanted a compact umbrella that wouldn't invert during strong breezes and also provide UV protection. I have a large umbrella that I use during our "monsoon" season when we have strong winds, but it's cumbersome for every-day use.After reading many reviews, both positive and negative, for several umbrellas that ranged in price from $15 to $50, I selected this umbrella and I am happy with my choice. The umbrella is easy to handle, both opening and closing-I love the ease of the single push of a button to open and close. You will need to then use both hands to push the rod in, but it's also easy.I can tell the difference in sun protection from a non-UV umbrella. So far this umbrella is holding up well to the breezes. Am very happy with my two-week old purchase.

This is a really well made umbrella. I'll be using it for sun protection since I live where it hardly ever rains and clouds don't exist, but I'm sure it would hold up very well in the rain. Now as for the sun protection - I haven't gotten to test it fully yet, but I can say that my skin does feel cooler when under this umbrella, so that in itself makes this umbrella better than my current one. For this umbrella there is only 1 layer of fabric and I don't see any obvious inner vinyl coating/layer like it says in the description. So maybe it is painted on or sprayed on? I'm not sure how that all works. But I will be testing this next week for how much it actually protects from the sun and keeps me cool. For reference, I have very, very pale skin and burn within 5-10 minutes of being in the sun. I'll update after.Update 8/28/18So I finally got to use this on the beach for a few hours and I didn't turn into a red lobster after using it and I stayed cool under it as well. I'd say it works.

Finally had a chance to try this umbrella in the sun. It says IV resistance and that is sort of true. But it gets HOT. My wife has a silver coated uv block umbrella and it works. I can see light through the fabric so not sure about rain. Aside from uv problem it does seem to be of good construction and the opening button is nice for one hand operation.

Just received it and supposed to rain in a couple days and I can’t wait to try it.I looked it over and opened outside even though sunny ☀️it opened perfect and closed perfect👌 This is a real automatic. It opens by pushing the button and closes by pushing the button unlike fake automatics that say automatic but you have to manually open and close yourself? So I appreciate this umbrella ☂ that is a true automatic. It is much heavier than my previous umbrellas so assume it will be sturdy and hold up. Feels like it will.

Nice sturdy opens easily...need muscle or two hands to push into compact closed form even tho the close button works great best feature...Lol My finger keeps closing the umbrella by accident when I apply slight pressure over the close button but obviously the handle must be held tight in strong winds that's where the close button is located.

The umbrella arrived with a small hole in the canopy.The canopy is large and could easily fit two slim people underneath it. Besides the hole, overall construction appears good, but I have not tested this in any way. The shaft does twist/wiggle around where it meets the handle, but my London Fog rain umbrella does this as well. The one-touch open mechanism works smoothly and quickly. Folds back down just as easily.

The item was a different color than shown, I received a grey umbrella. I emailed their customer service and they promptly resolved the issue with me. The umbrella is good quality but not the right color. It works well, the button makes it pop open quickly. I haven't used it in the rain yet but I think it will work well. I have it pictured next to my black purse to show the color

This is a very well made, very nice umbrella. It seems very strong and made of quality materials. I've gone through a lot of umbrellas in my lifetime. I expect good service from this one.
