Q: This is a scam. There is no converter in the cable?

No converter needed. The audio and video are already present at the USB port. This adapter just feeds the audio and video to RCA jacks for connecting older-style equipment. And it works in both directions.

Q: Does this work as a usb audio card for pc? i don't see any place for circuitry anywhere
