This sub is amazing. Replaced an old SPL-1200 that was 10 years old and finally died. This new one was very easy to set-up using the included mike and it sounds great. Highly recommend Velodyne and would not consider any other brand.

$4,000 looks/packaging/features/options... $500 sound. Was totally not worth the price, even when it was working. All the bells and whistles this thing comes with, didn't seem to improve sound quality/output by a discernible degree. I ended up returning it, as it stopped outputting sound a few days in to using it. Not satisfied with the product. Should have went with JL, SVS, or Rythmik.

It's impressive reading any bad reviews at all for a Velodyne subwoofer. This brand is the legend in subs for audiophiles and home theaters. This is not a sub that you will punch hip-hop music and start playing 24/7. This is more elegant and for serious usage. There is no other single sub on the market that goes so deep. What provides you from 12 inch can only be compared to 18 inch professional subs. You really have to hear it to compare it.Do not forget this sub was on the 5K mark.

Mine broke within two months. Terrible service from manufacturer.
