How long does this last without peeling?

I travel with this bag and traveled around Switzerland with it this past summer. So far, I haven't experienced any peeling.

Will the leather ever fade?

No it doesn’t fade. It hasn’t been babied but been rough a few times with it and through natural wear and tear, the bottom leather starts to peel/rip

Would you recommend this as a travel/carry on backpack? I'm looking for something that could fit 2-3 days worth of clothing and toiletries.

Yes I definitely feel like you could fit that much in this backpack.
