I have been taking this brand for a while whether through Amazon or Vitamin Shoppe. I found that per the dose that it is the most reasonably priced. I feel it helped keep my weight and blood glucose well managed. ( I take other things as well) I also feel it helped my nerves heal in my wrist post surgery faster and more complete then they would have. ( ALA is proven for nerve healing) One benefit that keeps me coming back oddly enough is I notice my wrinkles ( the few I have ) are definitely more hydrated and softer - if not gone while on this and when I go off they are visible. No idea on the wrinkles - purely anecdotal, but this is good stuff!

I take this to help lower my blood sugar and for all of its other health benefits as a powerful antioxidant. I feel it working within 20 mins or so. My circulation increases and I feel warm. This is my R-ALA from now on!

I initially was taking 3 caps a day (1 per meal) with 30/40 grams a carb per meal and some body composition changes were noticeable but not much. I then switched to two capsules per meal twice a day with my higher carb meals and then an occasional 1 capsule with a small carb meal (for a total daily dose of 800-1000mg a day) and oh boy my vascularity started to skyrocket, specifically my forearms and upper arms. Make sure you are eating enough carbs if you do two capsules at once to avoid lethargy and drink plenty of water. I ate a pretty carb heavy meal last night (beans, rice, tortilla with tortilla chips with chicken thighs) with 3 girl scout samoas cookies for dessert and checked my blood sugar right after and it was 117. Thats a post meal blood sugar not fasted! The only reason I did not give it five stars is of course at these doses it becomes quite pricey.

The Alpha Lipoic acid from AST Sports is a regular, monthly purchase for our household. They have the best quality product for the price, and the product really seems to heal neuropathy pain. I highly recommend this item!

Quality seems to be better than most ALA I have tried

As someone who takes supplements for nootropic and fitness reasons, I can say this is one of my staples. Not only is it neuroprotective and helps cellular function, but it works synergistically with creatine helping me recover after my workouts. I noticed a slight drop in my energy level and focus when I ran out of my first bottle. Been taking it almost 6 months now.

I needed to restock my r-ala and this was the best deal. The capsules are a little large, but they need to be to pack that much na-r-ala in. Would buy from this brand again.

It has helped a great deal with my diabetic neuropathy.
