Beautiful Deck!
I really love this Deck! Before purchasing I thoroughly read through reviews and ironically, the two most common complaints from people that I was a bit nervous about ended up being two features I kinda like best about this deck. Some People were complaining about the thin card stock. This deck is larger than the average tarot deck. Because of the card height, If the card stock were any thicker, it would be impossible to shuffle. The cards need some flex and the card stock chosen works great for the size imo. Some readers were having difficulty focusing or reading with these cards due to the intense, vivid, busy, imagery. This will either work for you or against you as a reader and unfortunately you won’t know which category you fall into until you actually read with them yourself. I find that because there is so much symbolism, I am able to be more accurate in readings because when I pull a card, more than just one or two things will jump out at me. It simply works for my intuitive process. I swear I still see something new every time I pull a card and I’ve used them daily for about a month. Every reader has a different style and intuitive process though. For some, it truly may feel chaotic or be “too much.” There is no disputing these are amazing works of art though! Just absolutely stunning. I see that some also found them a little “dark,” but I think they balance dark/light beautifully. These aren’t the type of dark imagery that will scare the person you’re reading or anything like that. Even if they end up not being practical for you personally to do readings, you could keep them as a collectors item.Overall, I love this deck. The energy of these cards meshes very well with my own energy and I do feel connected to them after owning and using them a few weeks now. Do I recommend these cards to a new reader? Um, listen, most people will say no. They’ll say a new reader should get a standard RW. I’m more of the persuasion that it’s like learning to drive a car. You could start with a Automatic and it will surely be easier, but If you learn in a stick, while it might have a bit steeper of a learning curve, when all is said and done you can drive anything. Learn with whatever deck you’re truly drawn to. However, if you’re new and choose this as a starter deck, you will need a book in addition to the book that accompanies this deck. You’ll need one which explains the traditional meaning of the cards in depth and how to relate the cards to each other since the included book here, while fantastic and beautiful, is mostly about the artists thought process. This book will help you to interpret some of the imagery and it does have a blurb about traditional meaning and reversals, but you’ll definitely need a lot more information as a newbie.I hope this review was helpful to anyone considering this deck. I also bought the Starman Bag designed to carry these cards and it’s great too!

Stunning! Gorgeous! Can’t Wait to work With this Deck!
The media could not be loaded. The box alone is exceptional. The cards are gorgeous. Intricate artwork, vibrant colors. The book has a lot of information. This seems like a great deck for anyone who loves tarot and loves Bowie. I can’t wait to work with this deck!

I am so glad I took the risk
These cards have a really intense energy, my very first reading blew me away. I had read several reviews about how busy they were and how unusual the imagery, and first I want to say YES, that is part of what gives them their energy, and explain why I love that about them so much. First of all what is "busy" about them also has to do with their symbolism. Sacred geometry, whisps of translucent smoke (sometimes evoking symbolic shapes), alien writing, and even the species and costume of magical beings have a cohesive grammar that is explained in the guidebook and once you get the gist the language of these cards just clicks. For me I find them useful to tap into my inner superstar, that je ne said quoi that we all have and can find so difficult to tap in to in a world that demands conformity, but bowie and this artist both transcend so easily. Each card's character has an energy of their own, incorporating familiar cues like the placement of cups in relation to other symbols and even what liquid is full or spilling from it. I use it for my morning meditation on work days to hype myself to an excellence greater than the mundane call of profit but driven by the sheer exuberant joy of being fearfully and wonderfully made. With their cyberpunk twist on ancient archetypes and unique expressive symbology of their own these cards are everything!! I have other decks that are favorite for other types of work (shadow work, inner child, etc...) but these are in high rotation for what shape I want my legacy to be. Our legacies don't need to be grand to be irreplaceably needed by those we touch and these cards somehow manage to stay humble and aspirational to everyday greatness all at once. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!!

Fascinated with the deck
The graphic work in the cards is astonishing. I have no need to abound in that. On the other side, paying to other people complains about the cards I must say it all come to personal preferences. The cards are on the thinner side, yes. But if they were any thicker it would be imposible to shuffle them. I have rather large hands for a woman and I was struggling while trying to bend and shuffle them around. The sharp ends and the size (they are rather long) didn't help in the task. But overall they just need to be work on. The more you shuffle them the sharpness wear off. The more you bend them back and forward the more flexible they become. Of curse, you don't want to be so rough that you cause damage to any card but they are meant to be used so use them. And lastly, the best thing about this deck is actually the book. Not booklet, B-O-O-K! The book is not just VERY informative, it is a must to deeply understand this deck. Some review complained about the lack of deepness in the imaginary of the images and I say the most be near sighted. You cannot go into the deck thinking that you know how to read tarot cards as if it was the same language you have been reading for the past so and so decades of your life. The book is importante because it give us an inside into the mind of its creator and the meaning behind this new set of signs. Some signs are a reinterpretation of the old one, some others add elements, and some other symbols change the meaning altogether in some cards. This deck is a piece of art in every possible way and the birth of a whole new being. This deck requires to be learned, to be used, to get close and to let it get close to you and I promise you'll become like family and the effort you put into it will create an unbreakable bond between the both of you.
